Recently, Charles Howe returned to the Airborne after a long absence. He was kind enough to talk with me about his experience in the Airborne.


You are not unique, but your experience is a little unusual. You were an established Airborne member.
Then RL interfered and you had to stop playing. Now you have come back as active as ever.
What attracted you to the Airborne the first time and what persuaded you to come back to us?

Yeah RL interfered with playing erep for about 9 months or so. I had an opportunity to travel and make some money, money was too good to pass up.
Well when I first joined Airborne, oddly enough was after I took another break from erep for a few months. When I had come back, Ruthain told me I should
come check AB out. I figured why not,The Community was the big reason for me joining. Everyone was friendly and just a great place to hang out. Reason I am back with
Airborne now is, it feels like home to me.


What kind of career would you like to develop in the Airborne?

Well atm RL prohibits me from really getting involved in the game,but if I were to pick a career it would have to be something where I could help the new recruits.
I started this game back in 2010...with the Training Corps as a lowly private and worked my way up the ranks,helping teach the younger players the basics of the game.


Do you see any particular strengths or weaknesses in the Airborne's organization or practices?

The Community definitely is a plus. There is always someone to talk to you,never a dull moment and no drama.

Can you describe an especially exciting, unusual or just plain fun experience you have had in the Airborne?

Well the little things entertain me, stealing sheep from Chubbzilla amuses me. Or helping out new people with questions they may have.

If a friend were looking for an MU to join, would you recommend the Airborne?

Absolutely. Why haven't you joined yet....Great Community, supply system is great.Food,Weapons. Seriously why haven't you joined?
