AIP: Keeping The Bastards Honest

Day 575, 05:23 Published in Australia Australia by Melchizedek Smith

Firstly let me thank those who voted in the recent Party President elections. I hope that you will be satisfied with my service to you over the course of the term and that my dedication to the task may exceed your expectations.

In a recent article I outlined three key areas that I felt needed to be addressed by the Australian Independents Party (AIP). Today I am announcing the measures currently being taken to ensure that those proposals are met.

1. Open elections: I have already established a spreadsheet detailing official candidates, their party, location and the number of votes they have received. These details will be updated over the next few days leading up to the election, at which time I will publish a link to this document so that all of eAustralia has access to this information.

2. Campaign advice: I am currently requesting that all AIP candidates register on the forum, and specifically the AIP forum area, so that I may offer specific advice on their candidature.

3. Consistency and flexibility: I will keep an official log of all elected senators both from the AIP and all other parties, and their candidate platform. Details will be published and updated regularly with links to the senate and voting hall library in order that citizens can see the impact that their elected officials are having. This should perhaps serve as a warning to the senate that the AIP will continue to ensure that the bastards are kept honest.

Can I now encourage anyone in the AIP, who has not yet done so, to register on the forum and join the political discussions that are taking place. Can I also remind the citizens of eAustralia, that we the senate are elected by you, therefore if you have any concerns or thoughts that you would like to see addressed then please feel free to bring them to me or any other of your elected officials.

Melchizedek Smith,
AIP Queensland Senator
