AGE Goes Rolling Along

Day 936, 17:45 Published in USA USA by Army East Public Affairs

What's new in Army Group East?

Not too long ago, both General Aang Airbender and Lieutenant General Quanah Parker resigned. While they were both great leaders, who won't soon be forgotten, a new leadership team is taking over. Replacing Aang Airbender is General Gannonus, the former Commanding Officer of the First Ranger Battalion, Army Group East, and, filling in for Quanah Parker is Lieutenant General Mainegreen. In spite of the changes, AGE has been carrying on as usual, with a few changes in command.

As many people know, a while back, the US Army split into two branches, Army Group East and West. While the requirements for each branch are the same, there are obviously some differences due to different leaders and the changes that come with being independent of one another for so long (different programs, styles of leadership, etc.). AGE is always looking for new, active soldiers to serve.

Here are some reasons to join:

Frequent Deployment

If you're looking to see the world, here's your chance. AGE frequently deploys to other countries to lay down damage in support of our allies. While it means you can't be too involved with politics (congress, party president, etc.) you get to visit exotic new places with friends and fight for a cause.

Free Guns & Tickets

As mentioned above, AGE deploys fairly often, and as such supplies it's soldiers with guns and tickets so they can be where they need to and do optimal damage, without having to pay for it themselves. If you're wondering how we can afford this, it's pretty simple. Aside from the funding we receive from congress, every Army soldier works for two weeks at a time at an Army company, for a reduced, but not $1, wage. While we aren't self-sufficient, this allows us to make some of our own products and save that congress-approved gold for other things.

Great Community

If you're looking for an active, fun group of people to hang out with, you've come to the right spot. Being one of the more active branches, AGE always has someone around on the forum or IRC, many of them officers, so if you ever need anything, there's always someone to turn to.

Rangers

For those of you that have 15 strength and have an in-game rank of General or more, the Rangers are open to you. As a high strength, highly mobile unit, the Rangers are capable of quickly deploying anywhere in the eWorld to throw down damage. The Rangers are part of the Army, and usually deploy and fight with them, but if needed, the Rangers can quickly deploy to virtually anywhere. A little more info, and the application to join the Rangers can be found here.

Requirements

While AGE is always looking for active soldiers, there are a few requirements.

- 9 strength (exceptions made on a case by case basis)
- In-game rank of Captain (exceptions made on a case by case basis)
- Ability to check the forum one to three times per day for orders

In addition to the above requirements, it's also suggested, but not required that you can be on the IRC from time to time. No one expects you to be on 12 hours a day, but getting on from time to time would be nice. Obviously real-life comes first, and it's understood if you can't be on the IRC for that reason.
