After the War

Day 815, 13:57 Published in USA USA by Lucion McElwain

What will happen when WW4 is over, what will happen to the nations held by members of Eden.
These questions need to be answered, we need an exit strategy, and at the very least if we can't answer the question we can debate it.

I hold that after the war we should return the conquered lands back to there original nation, and even help them rebuild some of there infrastructure that we did destroy when we conquered there territory, to at least end the occupation on good terms with the occupied country.

Now some may disagree on this point by trying to point out that they may have resources that we "need" to use. Couldn't we come to some type of an agreement with these nations for a free trade of that resource which stresses the importance of helping them rebuild after the war.

The key to ending a war is to have that enemy be a friend or the very least indifferent towards your country.

Though of course there is that other exit strategy, just hold onto there lands, and take the resources, while it may not hurt our economy, it ruins our international image, it makes the citizens of said country to despise the occupier even more, making the occupier spend more and more on the military garrison force to keep the citizens from rebelling, and if they have enough people they could even try a economic coup.
The US did this to Turkey during the Greek revolution, with mixed results by with enough people a group could damage a market where the average citizen will come unable to buy the supplies they need.

So in the end a Imperialist exit strategy will ultimately lead the invading nation in a weaker state than before after a moderate length of time.

The choice is yours but remember different exit strategies have there pros and cons though I hold the withdraw after the war is over strategy to be much better than the stay and pillage strategy.
