Today the administration team of eRepublik has taken a great step to improve and maintain the fun of playing this game and to stop cheating. The invasion of Norway, which started after the presidential elections as the fresh-elected Norwegian president instantaneously attacked UK😒 and Russia’s original regions, exposing the nation to all major PHX MPP😒 has been reversed. The goal of this invasion was to capture the High Oil region of Vestlandet and cease it to UK, and Phoenix succeeded in this task easily as the goon president had time to deactivate all major Eden MPP😒 by attacking the original regions of Sweden. The political takeover of Norway spurred outrage as the elections were won with a small margin and the Eden ATO units were unable to stop it.

However today at 10:00 eTime the Phoenix inflitrator was caught from cheating in the elections and Admins took extensive measures to repair the damage he has inflicted. All original regions of Norway were returned and the MPP😒 were closed. This is a landmark event as Admin has clearly shown that cheating will not be allowed and all the harm caused by cheating will be reversed. The fact that new players can now vote instantaneously as they can fight from lvl 3 and bust wellness to get enough exp to vote, was exploited in Norway as the PTO group apparently made several multiaccounts during the closing hours of the polls, inflicting a surge of votes which lifted the infiltrator in to office.
This event has raised hopes that Admins will open the case of South Africa, where a situation much similar to Norway’s happened. A fairly unknown candidate got enough votes on the last hours of elections, attacked Brazil + Argentina and led the country in to it’s destruction. It remains to be seen if there will be reconclusions drawn from SA, but it could also be possible that the PTO in there was completely legit as the group which mounted it is known from their high level of organization.

The most amusing thing I’ve seen in eRepublik for months was a side effect of this drastical act. The United Kingdom, excited about claiming High Oil, planted a hospital in to Vestlandet and urged citizens to move there. The most responsive to benefit their nation are high level players, and therefore a large chunk of UK’s finest from the military and congress moved there, alongside with the Prime Minister GLaDOS. When the region was returned to Norway, every Englishman got trapped in to Norway, and as it is impossible for CP and congressmen to be outside of their countries borders, the game glitched and temporarily counted it to be a resignation/impeachment and many notable members of the Congress of England were fired from their seats.
The same happened to GLaDOS, the Prime Minister of UK, and he got "impeached" from his post.
I believe this is the first time anything like this has happened, and UK congressman Final Destiny moved to Ireland to try and bend the game mechanics. He claimed Irish citizenship but was still technically a congressman in UK and managed to propose laws while being an Irish citizen.
Also the Presidential tools remained in possession of GLaDOS and after he moved back to the UK everything went back to normal. For about two hours the entire world however believed that GLaDOS accidentally impeached himself, and it gave me and lots of others some great laughs.

This is a golden rule. Do not live in a region which has been acquired by unacceptable means. Especially if you are the president.

There are other imperfections also. The honest thing to do would be to move every citizen of the United Kingdom back to London. Norway should be granted the MPP😒 which were lost when the goon attacked Sweden, The lost hospitals in Nord-Norge, Sorlandet, Trondelag, Ostlandet and Vestlandet should be replaced and UK granted the hospital they mounted in to Vestlandet. I doubt Phoenix was involved in to the actual cheating, but instead they negotiated with the PHX-aligned rogue group to destroy Norway for them.

Currently Norway has an activated Spanish MPP, and as it was launched when UK/Russia attacked them, it is a consequence of the illegit PTO. UK has written an open letter to reclaim the lost hospital and the Gold that were used to attack Norwegian regions, but I believe Admin has done all they wanted to and all will remain the same from now on. Eden lost a total of 5 hospitals, reaching financial losses of over 1000G. UK will not win the current battle of Vestlandet against Spain, and Finland will keep Russia blocked to give Norway enough time to write powerful MPP😒 and protect themselves from later attacks.

Operation Valhalla will therefore come to an end.

Eden to gain success in South Africa.

Eden launched a volley of attacks near midnight yesterday eRepublik time. As Argentina struggles to cut down the border with Oz by RW:ing Eastern Cape, Eden peppered Phoenix by blocking Argentina with an attack on aforementioned EC, attacked Brazilian owned KwaZulu-Natal and initiated RW😒 in Gauteng and Western Cape. Eden has took a huge lead in KZ-N and this region will almost certainly fall to Australia.
Eden jumped in to an early lead in Gauteng as the mobile forces of Eden, spearheaded by Croatia, plowed through the wall but the Brazilian army was there to welcome them, implying to a leak, or they just have good senses with these sorts of things, and they raised the wall back to it’s original numbers.
After 13 hours of fighting the wall is still perfectly tankable with 100,000 points. Allied mobile forces will most likely try to claim this region before moving in to Australia to counter a possible Indonesian advance.



Indonesia attacks Australia.

This move was predictable as the Indonesian media has been full of pro-war propaganda for days, and the national Goals aim to invade the region of Western Australia. Phoenix unfortunately dropped their activated Serbian MPP during the land swaps in Asia, and PHX goes against Eden head to head with 5 MPP😒 each. Indonesia moved towards Northern Territory, and the battle is expected to be huge as there has been only 2,5 hours of fighting when this article was written and already 1,5 mil damage have been dealt. Eden has a small advantage as the main defensive forces are Croatia, USA and Poland. Phoenix has Brazil, Hungary and Russia, but as Russia is being distracted by Finland and Brazil by RW😒, Eden has a minor upper hand. This might change though if Phoenix decides to use Australia as a sham and mounts an offensive against Rhone Alps for example.

Both alliance’s mobile forces will be given a chance to fight in SA-RW😒 before the day changes, so we will see a large scale battle in Australia if it will be the main event of tomorrow.

All in all it has been a good day for Eden as they have been given justice in Norway and have got a kick start in South Africa. Australia is a main strategical chokepoint and all major powers seem to commit to their defence pretty well.


Day 2.

Great day for Eden as large portions of South Africa are liberated.

Near the eRepublik daychange mobile troops from all around the world gathered to the Southern Hemisphere of the World to fight in the South African liberation battles. 24 hours before, the joint Australian + Allied operation was launched, consisting direct attacks on Western Cape, Eastern Cape and KwaZulu Natal, which were accompanied by RW😒 in Western Cape and in Gauteng. Also the Argentinian started RW in Eastern Cape was part of the offensive in an indirect way. Eden jumped in to a massive lead against Brazil in the battle for KwaZulu Natal, and way before the battle was coming to an end, Brazil retreated it to direct their damage better to the more important fights.

All battles remained in a state where either party could easily tilt the outcome to favor them, and near the eRepublik daychange a large and succesful military operation was carried out. The RW in Gauteng was the primary focus of Brazil, and the wall was raised overnight to a safe 400k. EMC made an attempt to liberate it but they were easily fended off by the full might of the Serbian army, who dealt almost 300k in total.
All other block RW😒 failed as well but Eden managed to claim victory over Western Cape and Eastern Cape. This reduces the Argentinian precense to just one region, their fortress of Limpopo, and gives the Allied Forces a permanent foothold in Southern Africa. It appears Phoenix was distracted by some sort of tactical failure, as the RW in Eastern Cape was started by Argentina and a great deal of their citizens fought to liberate it in order to drop the border with Australia, but in the middle of the battle they changed their minds and invited the Lithuanian taskforces to raise back above the secure line. This battle ate more than 150k of PHX damage and might have been a decisive factor why they lost.

Australia is currently blocked by Indonesia and the war in South Africa seems to ease a bit as SA doesn’t border any attackable regions anymore. A RW to drain damage from the Australian front has been started in Brazilian occupied North West Province.
