Add Macedonia!

Dear players,
Dear Greeks, Dear Macedonians!

I have been living for couple of months in Skopje and that was enough for me to understand the roots of Greece vs Macedonia issue. I wish to share with You my standpoint.

1. The country, which is called FYROM by some people, but called as Macedonia (hereinafter called MACEDONIA) by the people who live in it is a real, self-standing country. It has land, people, schools, hospitals...but even more important: it has an army ready to defend the country.

2. This country geographically overlaps quite significantly with the Northern part of the ancient Macedonia (while the Southern half belongs to Greece).

3. This map (and some other ones made in the same style) has been repeatedly used as an evidence, that Macedonia is claiming territories from Greece (and Bulgaria). It is funny to consider this as a serious issue: Greece is 5 times bigger and 20 times wealthier. On the other han😛 during the early days of independence I have heard many specualtions about a Greek claim over whole Macedonia. Anyway, as of today nobody with a minimal sense for responsibility has any claim against the other. So, mighty Greece, are you afraid of the 5 times smaller Macedonia or what?

4. I am not a linguist, but it is easy to recognise that the Macedonian spoken in Macedonia is a Slavic language, related mostly to Bulgarian (nevertheless far from being the same language). This has been waved as a proof, that current Macedonians cannot be descendants of the ancient ones. WRONG! It may or it may not, but this is not a proof. On one hand Ancient Greek language is also greatly different to the Modern one, on the other hand there are plenty of examples when a nation has replaced its vocabulary, but kept the old national identity feeling (i.e. Egypt). So, language continuity, especially looking back centuries and milleniums does not mean too much.

5. One of the strongest human rights is the right for human dignity. Trying to deny the Macedonian's right to call themselves what they feel like is called opression.

Finally an advice:
1. Listen to your Croatian and Bosnian allies, who would say: YES MACEDONIA IS A COUNTRY and MACEDONIAN IS A LANGUAGE.
2. Listen to your in-game enemies, IRL friends, the Serbians, who would say: YES MACEDONIA IS A COUNTRY and MACEDONIAN IS A LANGUAGE.

My Greek friends: try to get over it. MACEDONIA EXISTS. You cannot do too much about it.
