About Giving the Admins Hell

Day 872, 06:07 Published in Norway Norway by AnBasement

It seems that the most entertaining thing for people to do nowadays is simply giving the admins hell, no matter what they do. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Chances are, you're one of those people.

So, Norway got taken over by multi accounts. A lot of them as well. Around... what, a hundred or more? It was obvious that something had to happen. I don't think a lot of us expected anything to happen. At least not at such ahuge scale, and so fast.

You see, some lowlifers decided to take advantage of the situation. The fake President of eNorway attacked eUK, eRussia and eSweden, effectively ruining any chance we had of surviving. We were immediately attacked from two directions, and annexation was immediate.

Now, admins sees it, and they know it's wrong. A quick investigation shows that multis were used in the takeover, and they reverse what they can reverse, I guess. Give us back our regions and hospital. They didn't give us our MPPs back, but they removed the MPPs the UK had, making it damn near impossible for them to strike back again.

You'd think that, after seeing the admins upholding the law and striking down on cheating, people would be glad, right? That people would thank them for making an example out of this case.

It seems that the elitist douchebags of eRepublik are too good for thank-yous. Instead, the admins get bashed for not doing the same thing before. And I can understand, to some extent, that people are annoyed by the fact that admins did something this time, while ignoring it other times. I get it.

Is it weird that admins don't do anything? Not at al. This case just proves that no matter what, users will bash admins to the ground. Why? Because they expect admins to be some divine power. And yes, it's true that this is their game, and they are responsible for it. But remember this thing, that you're playing this game for free. Unless you buy gold, you don't have to invest more than ten minutes of your time every day to play the game.

And on top of all, the UK seems to think that them taking advantage of the situation was totally okay, and they now demand 500 gold back. Which they don't deserve, because whether or not they had a part in the takeover, they did take advantage of a situation that they KNEW was caused by cheating. That makes them accomplices, which makes them guilty. Same goes for Russia.

What I'm trying to say, what I'm asking for, is that we all try to, at least some times, look at what good admins do, and remember to thank them for doing it. Even though I might hate the new module with all of my heart, I'm not a complete asshole.

Thanks, admins, for bringing justice to the new world. I hope you know that we all now expect you to keep bringing the justice in the future.

Cheers for now
