About eCivilization - Table of Contents

Day 888, 15:01 Published in Ireland Ireland by Politius

Hello citizen,

My name is Politius. I am the author and researcher for eCivilization publications. The New World is surely unlike anything else in the emerging online community; in a short few months of operation, entire cultures and political institutions have etched their place in eRepublik history. This game is unique in its’ social and political characteristics. Yet while warfare and economics enhance the creation of social institutions and flux of politics: treasure maps, two-clicking, and other trivial and uninvolved aspects are not part of the eRepublik I love. Mindless micromanaging and shoot ‘em up combat is engaging for the average player—but one can find something quite unique in eRepublik: we should faithfully promote our online civil society. If you agree with these beliefs, I wholly encourage you to continue reading.

I’m dedicating eCivilization to the study, analysis, and documentation of eRepublik social and political institutions. These publications aim to document and analyze anthropology and sociology in the New World. Many of you might disagree with opinions expressed—but my aim isn’t to merely record factual information. I want readers to savor every last drop of a powerful party’s culture. I want the life of an ancient individual to be remembered for all of its’ old glory. In conjunction with the newspaper, the eRepublik wiki will be updated when appropriate and when possible.

If these ideas appeal to you, please refer to the table of contents and read on at your leisure. I would also like to encourage you to subscribe to eCivilization; or even make a small donation if you feel inclined to support the promotion of eRepublik community. Let’s keep the New World fundamentally societal.

I do not write these publications for popularity and power—nor, necessarily, for current readers at all. This is history—something future generations can look at to truly immerse themselves in the past. Therefore, if you are reading this at any time in the future—do not shy away from voting and commenting on past articles. Feel free to make suggestions for particular areas of research and publication.
