A War Time CP for a Future eNL, and not another Denmark.

First of all I would like to start this article by stating it was not my intent from the last article to “Throw mud”. However it becomes impossible to criticize an opponent without it being labeled as “mud” these days in this country. If truth be told the real mud that is thrown are the range of articles by the people in the eNL who consider me their enemy and have stated so on many different occasions, in the media and in congress. So before the situation spirals further out of control, I ask you this: Does the eNL want a CP that can only focus on a Mud Bath or one that can ensure the existence of our country in the future? Or do we want to become another Denmark?
The Occupation Effect
A major problem that we face as the eNL is the occupation effect. A country that is occupied by another nation, for longer than a one month period, suffers from a drop of players. It’s a fact. We saw this during our first Polish occupation, we have seen it in the eUK where the admins had to promote the game on facebook in order to help keep the country alive, and we have seen it happen to Denmark, a community that almost ceases to exist.
If occupied by ePoland we will be facing this situation and the only way to prevent it is by setting up an active resistance force.
The Art of War
War is tactics. War is an Art. War is set through the in game mechanics.
Our war with eBE was not only a fun a war, but also meant to keep the eNL on its toes. It was too test our community and see if we were ready for a real war. The one thing that did become clear is a number of players, mainly young but also some old, do not understand the war strategy of this game.
The example of this is the period of the war when eBE took control of two regions. The strategy at the time was to regain critical MPPs that we had lost during this time, mainly that of the eUSA.
The Second example was Election Day. At this time we lost the Southern Netherlands. One of the reasons for this was to ensure that our nation would not be occupied by a PTO attempt by MacedonianTREX. While the decision was not popular, it was a necessary evil in order to prevent any future PTO threats. It may have cost a few players a congress seat, but it had to be done.
As a CP you cannot please everyone. You need to be the one who can make the necessary decisions. You need to be the right decision and not the popular decision. War has many fronts.
The economy
An occupation by ePoland will also mean a significant drop in income. The reason for this is that we lose resource bonuses. These bonuses can attribute to at least a 20% decrease in state income. A long occupation will drain our resources. An example of this was seen in the eBE economy during the war. A result of our occupation was that it became a battle of treasuries. While eBE had a large reserve, one that we do not due to the treasury theft, based on a daily income alone we would have won a drawn out campaign.
It is therefore critical that our country fights hard and fast in order to end the occupation.
An experienced CP
While I have no doubt that Elgorro has the best interest for our country, he is not a wartime CP. The experience Elgoro has is in internal politics and the management of the day to day running’s of our countries ministries. His experience is based on his many terms as the chairman of congress. Under normal circumstances he would be considered a good CP.
However, these are not normal circumstances.
As I stated before, during his last term as CP, he negotiated with the ePolish a deal that would essentially give up half of our country. It was then as it is now a very bad deal for our country. A deal that was quickly over turned once he left office. You cannot negotiate with ePoland.
The way to fight ePoland is to fight so hard that it is not even worth it for ePoland to hold our regions.
The reason why I am the better candidate during this election is because I am a wartime CP. I have the contacts with other nations, military groups and alliances that can be used to fight off ePoland. I have a firm understanding of the strategy needed to fight this war and occupation that we face. Under my leadership we have a chance to keep the eNL free.
I do not want to throw mud. My comments about Elgorro being a traitor, went too far. I apologize for that. A man knows when he has overstepped the line.
The point that I was trying to make was lost in the onslaught that followed. The point is that we need a wartime CP that will continue the fight and not one that makes treaties that does not have the best interest of our nation at heart.
Therefore I ask my fellow citizens to choose a CP who is a wartime leader.
I ask that you vote for me on election day.

And still claiming we lost South to prevent a PTO? You sir, had nothing to do with that. In the week before elections it was painfully quiet from the Government side about this subject. We lucked out there, nothing more, nothing less. So don't cover up your lack of inaction on this case by a lucky succes.

@Piet Valken, you don't want to wake sleeping dogs when it is about the safety of your country. If this PTO'er had known the region would be sacrificed he would have changed the region he was running in. Besides that we needed Belgium to attack us to get back our USA MPP to change the direction of this battle. At that time Belgium signed a load of MPP's while we were limited due to the 'neutrality' that Belgium tried to uphold. We needed our MPP's with USA and China which they had.
By letting them attack us our MPP's with the USA and China got activated, and those of Belgium got removed, giving us the upper hand in the war again. Something we lost due to the above mentioned signing of MPP's by Belgium.
Well we had the initative, but regaining the eUSA and China MPPs allowed us to have an easier way to hold the upper hand.
I'm sorry to say, but the part about why we lost South NL on electionday is a flagrant lie.

And the first loss of the initiative was also not neccessary, hadn't you done some preparation upfront.
Furthermore, ElGorro is a far more active CP then Auggy was, so the vote should be simple; ElGorro for CP!
The best 'explanations' are always given afterwards when there has been time to think of something that sounds credible AND when most people have forgotten the facts. Your presidency was far less glamorous than you want us to believe, Auggustus...

Luuk, don't mix the first loss of our regions with the second. The first was correct as you say, because we needed our MPP's back.
The second however had nothing to do with the PTO threat. Since not even the people that should have know (MoFA for example), I doubt your reasoning about the 'sleeping dog' holds any sence. We just lucked out there with the PTO and lost South because eBE brought more firepower to the battlefield. Plain and simple.
I wasn't in the government, so I can't be sure of this, but not wanting to wake sleeping dogs makes perfect sense. The more people aware of the attempt to lose South NL to ruin MACEDONIAN REX's chances of a PTO, the more chance it somehow got leaked and he'd move.

Too bad you first make the insult and have to apologize afterwards, don't you think? Why not try something different for a change and not insult people in the first place? Try it, you might find it refreshing as well 🙂
