A Thought or Several

Day 400, 20:14 Published in USA Israel by Moishe

While I really enjoy the structure of eRepublik as it is there are some changes I feel would add a more realistic feeling to the interaction between Citizens and optimize the socia-economic aspects:

Gifting

Currently 10 gifts per day is allowed to be sent to another to increase their wellness. That is 10 Q1's, or 5 Q2's, or 3 Q3's + 1 Q1, etc.

I would suggest that higher quality gifts have an added advantage.

Q1 = 1 wellness per gift
Q2 = 1.25 x 2 = 2.5 wellness per gift
Q3 = 1.5 x 3 = 4.5 wellness per gift
Q4 = 1.75 x 4 = 6 wellness per gift, and
Q5 = 2 x 5 or 10 wellness per gift.

As it is now there is no advantage to using lower or higher quality gifts other than pricing. Make those higher quality gifts worth more than just being multipliers!

Donations

Limit physical donations to the same country or make them take at least a day or two to "ship". Money donations could be instantaneous mimicking "wire transfers" but it takes time to ship items from one country to the next. Why should someone in eKorea or eChina be able to give someone in the eUSA food or weapons instantly?

This might limit the "bootlegging" that takes place when someone uses an Org to buy something in the eUK and then sell it the next instant in the eUSA.

In the same vein imports from and exports to other countries should take a day or two to "ship". How can someone in eChina grow grain and then, the same day it is "harvested" have it for sell in the eUSA?

Travel Tickets

Travel should take time. Limit travel tickets to only one per day. And let the quality of the ticket determine how far someone can travel in that day. A Q1 ticket allows them to travel one region (or country), a Q2 lets them travel 2 regions, etc. How can someone have two travel tickets; use one to go to eKorea and use the other to go to the eUSA, all in a matter of seconds?

Ok, just some things to think about as we wait for the Congressional Elections.

Be well, my friends, and have a joyous holiday!
