A Tear for the SDP.

Day 950, 06:41 Published in United Kingdom France by Melophore

As the would call it in French it is a Chronique d'un desastre annoncé or in English, the Chronicles of an Announced Disaster.

It is awfulf to see an autistic leadership, composed a few people, often oppertunists, live in complete denial of reality. I think the attitude is The boat is still floating there is no problem.

Or the supposed "experienced players" that are telling us all is fine with the party, whilest making sure they get elected and pushing to get to run for Presidency...

A decline in our electorate, from 136 to 102 according to party leadership, from 136 to around 60 for me, because you can't take into consideration the votes casts for candidates that were running to make sure the 2-clicker vote was reduced... This is almost criminal because you are insinuating that some people's vote is not "intelligent" enough to find it's expression. They best thing you can get people to believe is that you did as well as the last election.

As Steve Steinbeck would say the "SDP is ganging up against Melophore, it could be a start of a brillant new era" (for UKRP and Spectrum) Well, we can't really talk of a gang, when you're talking out an ultra-minority that thinks they represent something. When you start thinking that voters aren't intelligent enough to vote for the right candidate, you're disregarding them.

I warned about this defeat, and I think it is well deserved. Those thinking they are leaders should take responsability, and give way to another team. Nothing is worse than a few people hanging on when the majority is against them. I've got the impression that this is worse than a UMP government in France. We lost the election by a landslide, but it doesn't mean voters are against us, it's quite the opposite. They didn't vote for us because they approve our management of things.

It's hard to see what the SDP is becoming. In a month I took the party up from 4 members to 188, and nothing has changed. I understood that the people taking over were going to structure a few marginal aspects, go on with the recruiting and go on helping people. I see that they have failed to do this and the party is now in decline.

I was asked not to run again in favour of another candidate and if I didn't withdraw my candidacy I would be removed from the SDP usergroup. There is no meaning now in the Social Democrat Party when you have given up the Social and the Democrat. I think things are clear...

One or two people have turned up to privatize the SDP for their own interests. This is rather pathetic when you see the Party President Rory Winterbourne wanting a debate with me, and as soon as the debate starts he removes you from the usergroup.

I would also like to take for example the Eric Ross Affair. It was in the SDP policy to try to enact an raise in the minimum wage, Eric Ross did this when proposed a raise in the minimum wage he was bullied out of the party... It is the first time I see people bully a congress member that kept his word... Eric Ross didn't ragequit. He was pressured out and betrayed. I don't think anybody would have stayed in those conditions.

These people believe they are "everybody" because they are four or five people in a party of 188 members. They have every interest to kill off all active members because it increases the illusion they are popular.

Just to check who is in charge, Kaiskais wrote "Which is of course why I let Applefreak run in London as well, even though it detracted from my vote, why, despite losing the election", I thought Rory Winterbourne was the party president ? Yet I see Lon Kirk stand by this, not reminding KaisKais that he isn't the party President ! The SDP has nothing to envy any banana republic !

Another consideration. Who are the biggest donators to the SDP party ? Since Kaiskais joined, or Rory Winterbourne, they have donate 0 GBP to the party organization, and haven't put in ANY effort in the companies... The only thing keeping the party afloat is the generous benefit system of the party companies.

During the invasion, who offered tickets to SDP members trapped abroad ? Helping get back ? I did. The others didn't lift a finger and prefered plodding on with Congress. For them their congress seat comes first, party members come last.

They left poor Artela struggle to get floating voters together, only six floating voters in one of the most active parties isn't a result. I don't blame Artela buck the complete lack of support she got. I can imagine she is frustrated, but she shouldn't blame me, but the people who didn't support her. On top of her 6 I mobilized around 11 voters that I send to the regions to vote for our candidates. Unfortunately one of them seems to have been banned. Yet again, I was blamed for that as well.

Stand in a graveyard waiting to hear opposition to your ideas, the chances are you'll never get an answer... I can see them now punching on the report button !

THE SDP HAS TO BE RETURNED TO IT'S ORGINAL PATH, or disappear. So says the girl with the roses...

A new party nows seems to be dustier and closer to death than Spectrum. It is time to renew this and lead the party back to it's gold age.

THE PARTY NEEDS A FUTURE, THE PARTY NEEDS THESE REFORMS.

I'll be publishing a programme soon, that will be rich and detailed of concrete measures that will put the party back onto it's tracks.

The SDP hasn't said it's last word yet. This party still has all the potential it used to have, even if it's been dormant for a couple of months.

We need a Party President that cares only about the party. I think I have proved my worth in the past. A new team, new faces, good infrastructure and things will get going again. Obstacles are easy to remove, and we'll get this party to become the SDP once again !

I'm am optimistic for the future, with an adequate, fair and devoted leadership, the party will rise again.

I see no reason the SDP shouldn't grow quickly with correct structures and management.
