A Tear for the SDP.
Melophore
As the would call it in French it is a Chronique d'un desastre annoncé or in English, the Chronicles of an Announced Disaster.
It is awfulf to see an autistic leadership, composed a few people, often oppertunists, live in complete denial of reality. I think the attitude is The boat is still floating there is no problem.
Or the supposed "experienced players" that are telling us all is fine with the party, whilest making sure they get elected and pushing to get to run for Presidency...
A decline in our electorate, from 136 to 102 according to party leadership, from 136 to around 60 for me, because you can't take into consideration the votes casts for candidates that were running to make sure the 2-clicker vote was reduced... This is almost criminal because you are insinuating that some people's vote is not "intelligent" enough to find it's expression. They best thing you can get people to believe is that you did as well as the last election.
As Steve Steinbeck would say the "SDP is ganging up against Melophore, it could be a start of a brillant new era" (for UKRP and Spectrum) Well, we can't really talk of a gang, when you're talking out an ultra-minority that thinks they represent something. When you start thinking that voters aren't intelligent enough to vote for the right candidate, you're disregarding them.
I warned about this defeat, and I think it is well deserved. Those thinking they are leaders should take responsability, and give way to another team. Nothing is worse than a few people hanging on when the majority is against them. I've got the impression that this is worse than a UMP government in France. We lost the election by a landslide, but it doesn't mean voters are against us, it's quite the opposite. They didn't vote for us because they approve our management of things.
It's hard to see what the SDP is becoming. In a month I took the party up from 4 members to 188, and nothing has changed. I understood that the people taking over were going to structure a few marginal aspects, go on with the recruiting and go on helping people. I see that they have failed to do this and the party is now in decline.
I was asked not to run again in favour of another candidate and if I didn't withdraw my candidacy I would be removed from the SDP usergroup. There is no meaning now in the Social Democrat Party when you have given up the Social and the Democrat. I think things are clear...
One or two people have turned up to privatize the SDP for their own interests. This is rather pathetic when you see the Party President Rory Winterbourne wanting a debate with me, and as soon as the debate starts he removes you from the usergroup.
I would also like to take for example the Eric Ross Affair. It was in the SDP policy to try to enact an raise in the minimum wage, Eric Ross did this when proposed a raise in the minimum wage he was bullied out of the party... It is the first time I see people bully a congress member that kept his word... Eric Ross didn't ragequit. He was pressured out and betrayed. I don't think anybody would have stayed in those conditions.
These people believe they are "everybody" because they are four or five people in a party of 188 members. They have every interest to kill off all active members because it increases the illusion they are popular.
Just to check who is in charge, Kaiskais wrote "Which is of course why I let Applefreak run in London as well, even though it detracted from my vote, why, despite losing the election", I thought Rory Winterbourne was the party president ? Yet I see Lon Kirk stand by this, not reminding KaisKais that he isn't the party President ! The SDP has nothing to envy any banana republic !
Another consideration. Who are the biggest donators to the SDP party ? Since Kaiskais joined, or Rory Winterbourne, they have donate 0 GBP to the party organization, and haven't put in ANY effort in the companies... The only thing keeping the party afloat is the generous benefit system of the party companies.
During the invasion, who offered tickets to SDP members trapped abroad ? Helping get back ? I did. The others didn't lift a finger and prefered plodding on with Congress. For them their congress seat comes first, party members come last.
They left poor Artela struggle to get floating voters together, only six floating voters in one of the most active parties isn't a result. I don't blame Artela buck the complete lack of support she got. I can imagine she is frustrated, but she shouldn't blame me, but the people who didn't support her. On top of her 6 I mobilized around 11 voters that I send to the regions to vote for our candidates. Unfortunately one of them seems to have been banned. Yet again, I was blamed for that as well.
Stand in a graveyard waiting to hear opposition to your ideas, the chances are you'll never get an answer... I can see them now punching on the report button !
THE SDP HAS TO BE RETURNED TO IT'S ORGINAL PATH, or disappear. So says the girl with the roses...
A new party nows seems to be dustier and closer to death than Spectrum. It is time to renew this and lead the party back to it's gold age.
THE PARTY NEEDS A FUTURE, THE PARTY NEEDS THESE REFORMS.
I'll be publishing a programme soon, that will be rich and detailed of concrete measures that will put the party back onto it's tracks.
The SDP hasn't said it's last word yet. This party still has all the potential it used to have, even if it's been dormant for a couple of months.
We need a Party President that cares only about the party. I think I have proved my worth in the past. A new team, new faces, good infrastructure and things will get going again. Obstacles are easy to remove, and we'll get this party to become the SDP once again !
I'm am optimistic for the future, with an adequate, fair and devoted leadership, the party will rise again.
I see no reason the SDP shouldn't grow quickly with correct structures and management.

Dont worry Melophore, I am running for Party President. You can fuck off now.
This reminds me of a Winston article.
Melophore: You will never have my support again. Do you not see that I have not supported you since you were very silly and got hacked so easily!
The party companies will cease all cooperation with the party until the next election.
Free speech and solidarity have to be respected and upheld by the party.
Melophore starting to appeal that the 2-clickers support him now, that is desperation.
Melophore, the entire active membership is against you. That's not 'an ultra-minority'
Eric quit as he was annoyed Rory won without following party protocol. I see both sides, but I chose to stay and help.
'The only thing keeping the party afloat is the generous benefit system of the party companies.' That is total fiction.
'During the invasion, who offered tickets to SDP members trapped abroad ? Helping get back ? I did. ' You've made that up as well. You can't tell what parties people used to be in unless you asked every single person. No active member would be out of London.
Melophore, you just don't want anyone else to have a say in the party, when any one disagrees with your (frankly, noobish) policies, you say they are 'denaturing' the party. But when the fruits of our policies show, you ragewreck like this.
"The party companies will cease all cooperation with the party until the next election.
Free speech and solidarity have to be respected and upheld by the party."
Well done. This reminds me so much of when I was at school. There was this fat useless kid who owned the football. We had to never, ever foul or kick him or he'd leave his ball at home.
Daniel DV, I agree, so then it's important that you get a new ball, and then don't let him play with it.
i'll vote for Melophore. he did the party good, long live Melophore
Oliver, you haven't participated in the party at all, so I don't expect you to know what the entire active membership is against Melophore.
Yet another fiction, the "entire active membership", since you'll kick from the forum most of those that dare disagree with you.
The "entire active membership" are your yesmen, I count anly four of them, if you're lucky.
Just give it up Kaiskais, you're dishonesty won't get you anywhere.
You are so happy to spit on two-clickers, let's hope that too turns on you.
I like the violence you are displaying, with Maddog telling me to "f*** off." If you can't tackle the ball tackle the player.
I guess Kaiskais will just have to flood my articles like he floods the forums.
Melophore, I believe you've twisted that quote of mine. It's not a fabulous new era for UKRP and Spectrum, it's a fabulous new era for POLITICS, because at last other people can get on with SDP because you're not around.
"The party companies will cease all cooperation with the party until the next election."
Oh, I forgot 'party companies' meant 'Melophore companies'. Cool way to isolate yourself further.
'Yet another fiction, the "entire active membership", since you'll kick from the forum most of those that dare disagree with you.' You're the only one who's been thrown out of the party, and it wasn't by me. Again, your tendency to believe you are the party comes up.
'The "entire active membership" are your yesmen, I count anly four of them, if you're lucky.' Name an active SDP member who supports you. Also, most of them were at the party before me (Lonkirk, Artela, Blandman etc), and Rory ran against me for PP, and Maddog is going to. Hardly my yesmen, but they're still against you.
'You are so happy to spit on two-clickers, let's hope that too turns on you.' What? It is a very important thing to turn 2-clickers into actives, but while they are 2-clickers, they don't have an informed opinion. I don't go round attacking them, i encourage them to become active.
'I guess Kaiskais will just have to flood my articles like he floods the forums' It's called being active. Generally, it's regarded as a good thing.
And good post Steve.
Down with Melophore, this is the spliting of the ways.
Well said Lon.
I've still got that apology you sent me Steve Steinbeck.
I guess your getting your revenge now.
Anyway, Lon is holdong onto his Congress seat, lovely yesman work there. Plus running scarred, a little PM from Kais to rory and you're out.
'Anyway, Lon is holdong onto his Congress seat, lovely yesman work there. Plus running scarred, a little PM from Kais to rory and you're out' Oh this is getting good. Melophore, Lonkirk disagreed with me about the UKRP negotiations plenty of times. Last time checked, he was in the party. Melophore, the actives are against you, get over it.
Well said, KaisKais that is true.
Melophore, that apology was sent about two months ago for the sake of being civil after you kept blabbing on about me trying to PTO SDP as a joke. This is now just me commenting on a situation, I'm not really getting revenge for anything...
