eRepublik -- The war amongst nations have not ceased nor it will ever cease. The end of war could basically mean the end of this meatless game. The dichotomy of nations and nations, people and other people, governments and other governments is continuously expanding. We are not co-existing, we are non-existing... Or so I wanted to claim.

I have come across an article claiming that our character in this rhapsodic game is our alter ego... the character in which we can express ourselves in a whole new level, a character in which we are able to expand our horizons and broaden our views. However, I do not agree.

Why the dichotomy of real life and eRepublik character and any virtual life? What can we do in this fervid surreality that we cannot do in reality? A lot maybe, in a sense, considering time and other apriorism etc etc. But, is it not true that the characters we build are the characters that are ourselves and not our alter egos? No matter how we falsify it, as we might think, or exaggerate it, as we might think again and again... every single action reflects to our identity, reflects to our character, and reflects to ourselves. We are no different from what we try to be or what we try not to be.

Thus think... are you really what you are now? Or maybe, do you want to be something or someone better... or worse... It all depends on you. 🙂
