A Slow News Week?

Day 1,577, 21:19 Published in USA USA by GLHalJordan

Greetings, my fellow eAmericans. It is just me or was it kind of a slow week around here? Granted, I've been a little busy with some real-life stuff, including, but not limited to a head cold, but still - not a lot went on. Was it the lag between Presidential Elections and Party President Elections? Were people just trying to get used to economic changes? Did people just plain get fed up and leave? Maybe it was a little of each of these.

ECONOMIC CHANGES

A friend of mine quoted in my last issue that he thought the prices would readjust back down in a day or two. I thought that would happen also. The prices have remained pretty much stable. Which probably means the bot was turned back on. That's a good thing, I suppose. Wages are going back up to their previous levels of around $200-$250 USD. Prices for various goods are not going down to ridiculously low numbers, which is keeping wages up. Gold is, at this writing, hovering around $1644 USD.

To editorialize a bit, I think I am probably too new to the game to have been affected too much by these changes. I have no employees, but I like higher prices for my goods. I am sure that to some of the old-hats at this game that these changes made a week ago were a bad thing. I guess we'll see. I would, however, be interested in the opinion of my readers. All 26 of you (couldn't bump that number up a bit? Tell your friends). Post what you think of these economic changes below now that a week has passed.

FLYING HIGH

President Oblige called a meeting of Air Force officers today and talked about possible changes to and restructuring of the organization. Among those listed were:

1. BootCamp would fall under the Air Force umbrella.
2. Delta Force getting its own Executive Officer (XO).
3. The Quartermaster General (QMG) becoming its own corps.

eShades, current Commanding Officer of the USAF said of the President's changes, "We have a limited number of officers who are doing their best to keep our military unit going (and it is going STRONG). We will do our best to accommodate for these changes in stride."

Along similar lines, eShades had this to say:

The Air Force welcomes people of all kinds. We want you. We offer supplies (a minimum of 60 Q5 food to a maximum of 180 Q5 food with 4 tanks) for all players, regardless of their in-game rank. We have got a core group of officers with different backgrounds and experiences, and they are all ready to help you. The Air Force's only requirement is graduating from Boot Camp, and that is a quick and easy process with the Boot Camp's professional staff. Join Now, and you'll start receiving supplies within 24 hours!
