Join the new world

Well, it's time to dust of the printers once again here at Daily History. After a long period of silence it's time to start writing history. Wow that sounded quite epic... Some readers have noticed I write my articles in english even though I am a patriotic Swede and some have even tried to convince me to change it. The reason it's in english is because when this magazine was founded there was a large presence of foreigners who only understood english, all the big newspapers did it, I just ended up keeping it. So that's that.

What you are reading right this moment is eSweden's 69th most popular magazine. We have as many subscribers as the esteemed Potato News. It's quite an honour.

Without further ado;

A slightly updated History of the Swedish Parties

The politics of Sweden has always been a rough game, the left and right fight eachother relentlessly. But unlike so many other countries Sweden's parties remain more or less the same. We still have parties from the Beta period. To even begin to start unraveling all the details and happenings of each party would take a whole book of articles so this is abbrievated.

Flashback Sweden

The Great Party, Flashback Sweden has more or less always been the powerhouse of Sweden. It's members join it in a quest for glory, fortune and enlarged egos and many accomplish their goals. Ideology has never really been a value to FBS, it remains popular because they solve things on the short term. And it has been like that since beginning, The Great Immigration, literally thousands (well, around two thousand) of players joined eSweden in it's quest for World Domination.



With it's strong member base and somehow experienced staff it created the Sweden we know today. But with time FBS' politics changed, it slowly moved away from the center, where it was intended to remain, towards the right. It had never been a red party but the FBS we know today is not the Beta FBS. However, FBS continues to stay strong as it is once again the dominant party, the lure of fortune draws big crowds. This has given us many competent FBS presidents but also our fair share of opportunists.

FRONT

The Bulldog, FRONT are the fighters of Swedish politics. Broke of FBS and was founded on the principle that Sweden needs more wars, much like the long defunct Purjolök Ops. It was ridiculed at the time but soon a big chunk of FBS members joined the party and total war was now a legitimate oppinion. They grew to the size that it once was only one vote away from winning the presidential elections against FBS. This was the first time FBS superiority had been challenged. Similiar to FBS FRONT slowly changed politics to the point where they now more or less work together.



Militantsocialistiska Arbetarpartiet

The Rebels, FBS may be the most succesful party but MSAP has by far the biggest history. As Sweden oldest party it has proven to be unbelievably resistent, it has survived more coupes than I've eaten hot meals (like around 10, life is hard in the fjälls). Scandals follow cries of fighting against Sweden (for some reason our enemies are always the socialists friends) which is followed by more outrageous events.



You can always count on MSAP to cause uproar amongst everyone to the right of them. Many of the leading figures of MSAP are accused of being trolls. No comment. MSAP has also regained it's strength and may become a serious threat to the right-wing parties in the future.

Nya Vasademokraterna

The Nationalists, to review the net of connections NVD has to other parties would be like reviewing a family tree from the deep south. There has always been a presence of nationalists in Swedish politics, once FRONT was considered the nationalist party.



The party promotes a kind of nationalism that doesn't segregate the country but tightens it's loyalty to the nation. Although this is their official stance they are often seen commenting quite intolerant against the left. If NVD will follow in the foot steps of their many predecessors and fold, time will tell.

Liberala Vikingar

The Alternative, LV was founded when Democrats of New Sweden (DNS) merged with Nationalgardet (NG) to create a liberal gun toting party. LV provides an alternative to the other right-wing parties for the citizen who doesn't want to end up in the jungle that left-wing politics are.



Folkhemsdemokraterna

The Civilized, FHD was forged when people from different parties resurrected social democracy. The party gained members fast and soon became a force to be reckoned with. When FHD was founded the Swedish people were tired of MSAP, the radicals had become all too noisy and annoying so when FHD provided an alternative to leftists across our great land. Like all other parties FHD was affected by the drop of activity.



That's that, I will be returning with more articles in the future. Oh yeah and the reason the magazine isn't looking as snappy as we're used to is because for some reason different sizes of text doesn't work.
