Good afternoon everyone,
WHOA! Hold your horses!
I'm not doing anything spectacular, I might not even be here in eRepublik next week, this is just a friendly reminder of something small, but important we have missed.
Being away for such a period of time, I've lost track of what we've been up to.
Mainly, is Indonesia is hated enemy, or is it now Chile.
Are we still in EDEN, if not, who are our allies, etc...
Then it hit me. I was look a n00b again. Needing to be filled in on what is happening in the game.
Putting myself in the n00b's shoes for a moment, the above information is not quick and easy to gather.
Currently there is no easy guide in the 'first steps in eRepublik' section to fill a n00b in on eAustralia's current situation.
Now this ISN'T just the fault of DD's Government. Many Government's before him have had the same inaction. This also isn't to criticise DD.
This is more a friendly reminder to him and those seeking to be Prime Minister in the next election, that an article informing n00bs of the current state of play must be published (even if it's just copy and pasted) weekly.
So please, if we want to keep new players, we have to get them more involved and it starts by getting them quickly informed. It makes them feel part of the game and hopefully they stick around.

In before the usual trolling of me starts.
Given the short remaining term this is something the next government is going to have to deal with (once we get get a legislature).
On the issue of Chile we likely won't be seeing them again if we manage to drive them out (which is proving easier said than done), Indonesia we will have to deal with in the future.
Indonesia seems to be having its own problems

this is erep's design, it has been this way for as long as I can remember. True, some governments try harder than other, but at the end of the day, there is no "easy way".

TJ, i'm not really following why this would be such an impossibility. Those guides are the biggest key to new player retention if they are used. Also perhaps the next or future govts could employ Dart to do something in this space, as it would definitely be a winner for the education dept, as is much more likely to be read for TL😉R ers.
True Michael, Dart would be a real asset.
Even without though, as long as the articles are kept simple and well-illustrated, we can ensure that the population are up to date on the facts relatively easily.
Since all it takes is a weekly order from the PM to the MoI, it's absurd that it hadn't been happening already.
It does happen under most Govts.
