A serious article.

This is it, today, I've been thinking. Yeah I know, scary thought eh? Okay Ninja this was supposed to be serious. I had some nostalgia of the old eRep, I know you old timers are thinking I'm new and I have no idea what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the game even 5 months ago... Even this was not the prime of its time, but it was still fun. It was still enjoyable to get on here, see all the activity, the petty rivalries, the programs that were set in place, the top articles and how helpful people were to you. I joined the game near the end of this time. I wish I could've joined earlier.

I regret to say it, I've been trying to stay optimistic, and you know me I'm a pretty cheerful guy.. But this game seems more like a job now, rather than for fun. I don't enjoy getting on here it seems like almost everything that made Canada is either dead or dying. I feel like I'm slowly dying, becoming less and less active.

Then I got to thinking.. Maybe I'm not trying hard enough? Maybe the fault lies in us all? We blame occupation, game mechanics, other people, but maybe this feeling is coming from within you? Maybe the one thing we've all been seeking to improve this game lies with us all collectively. Stop laying the blame elsewhere, or whining and complaining, because that will not get us out of this fix. If you want the "glory days" back then make it happen! Write articles, coordinate attacks with your friends, get on IRC? Make some friends, ENGAGE the community, it may be dormant now but all things can be fixed with the right remedy. The change will come from your attitude towards it, like most things in life, it will be a reflection of you. You get what you want and deserve. All those articles you wrote about how horrible Canada is or all those posts you've complained? Why didn't you take the time and energy you used to write that article to instead, start an article series?! Start a political party? Start a program that helps new people get started in the game? Work towards a better Canada, because this country won't fix itself.

Well, I got off on a little rant there but I think you get the gist of what I mean. This country will be a reflection of your attitude towards it.
