A Sad Day for America

Day 619, 08:18 Published in USA USA by Chris Stanwick
Good morning my fellow Americans!

Today is a sad day for the United States. We have lost Kansas along with its Q5 hospital to the Russians and Kentucky to the Portuguese. Our plan to place a Q5 hospital in New York failed as well. We are swiftly losing this war, and with it our morale and nation. Well, what are we to do about it? President Richardson has finally agreed to peace negotiations with PEACE to hopefully end this war. I was asked to write up a proposal that we could present to them, which I did and shared publicly for discussion and opinions by others. Peace is in the interest of every American and a proposal for peace should be shared with our citizens so that they understand where we stand.

Because of my actions in sharing the proposal, the President has asked me to resign as Deputy Secretary of State and Ambassador to Ireland, both executive branch positions. I hereby submit my resignation publicly and in the open, something that this administration seems to avoid like the plague. He also asked me to resign as Director of the National Emergency Evacuation Program, which I declined as it is not an executive agency nor an appointed post. I personally created NEEP as an extension of my free moving tickets for newbies program, and will continue to donate free moving tickets to any citizen wanting to move to our fortress states of New Jersey and Florida.

Does this mean I'm out of politics? Absolutely not! I am still the Senator for Vermont and Deputy Speaker of the House and will continue to dedicate my time and work to Congress. I still have connections in almost every nation in the world and will continue to maintain those relations even if I do not have a position in the State Department.

That said, I would like to announce my candidacy for President of the United States. Unlike my contenders, I have a plan to end this war and allow us to rebuild as a nation. Recovery will not be easy nor quick, but peace will at least give us the chance. I view transparency as an important aspect of government, and as President will not hide important information or actions from the public. You have the right to know things as they happen rather than learning about them from a third party later on.

Over the next few days, I will be writing articles containing aspects of my platform and my plans to ensure that our nation survives this war. I appreciate and expect feedback from the public so that I know what you think. If you don't like something, let me know! I'm open to suggestions and recommendations. Now, I ask one more thing: please join me in the Umbrella Research Party to demonstrate your support for my candidacy. We're going to try to skyrocket to the top 5 so that my chances for election are better. Thank you all, and remember, PM me to request your free moving ticket to New Jersey or Florida!
