Hi there Coleman!
I really enjoyed reading your article and it will be very interesting to see what comes after this. Keep it going!
It is somewhat flattering that our party makes such a splash, even though what we did was not that groundbreaking. What we did though, was to act instead of talk. We want to try to do something for the members, and for the newcomers to e-Ireland.
You are affiliated with Eire Aontaithe, so I assume this is more than a casual article.
Now, I have to admit that I was not involved directly in the making of the company that we are talking about. However I do support the effort, and since it is in line with our party program I feel free enough to contribute to this discussion.
So lets look at some of your points:
1. “Supposing that 55 is the active population of Ireland, IUP unconditionally employs 32.73% of eIreland, and seeks to employ 63.64%; all without any company profit.”
We are more active players than that.

As you can se from this link 181 persons voted in the election, and I personally know some that missed to vote, hence the figure of "active" players probably is a bit higher. Perhaps we can agree on talking about ca 200.
If there are ca 200 players in eIreland, our little company does not at all make the impact you suggest.
Most of our companies will probably run as normal companies. I say this without having talked to my party colleagues, since it is the logical conclusion of our party program.
What we advocated for in the program was diversity. Diversity in the ecosystem is healthy and provides the individual with more choices.
So if you do not like our companies, you have the option to do something else. We do not want a leftist mono culture. We like our diversity.
2. “If they can’t compete for employees Ireland wont be able to produce weapons, tickets, houses, and resources. Can our economy survive if eIrish are forced to buy imported products?”
If it was possible, we would let the companies be administrated by different members also. Why all this? To help people. We encourage entrepreneurship. Our companies are meant to function as green houses. Not as end destinations
We argue for favorable export conditions. Exaggerated salaries on the market is not part of that picture! Perhaps in the future we will be able to lend money to members that want to get export tickets. At this time, we do the best as we can.
3. "Why do we need these companies? How much do they really improve employment conditions?"
Our belief is that active parties, that have other activities than election related, will be good for the country. To change the direction we are heeding as a nation we need active organizations that fosters and nurtures activity.
The dualism between Yin (the state) and Yang (the free market), is false. We need more diversity than that. Party organizations and party activities are part of a more diverse and healthy system.
I would encourage other parties to do whatever they feel is in line with their ideology. We need activity though, not fair words. If you think that what we are doing is wrong. Then prove us wrong by doing something else.
Yours sincerely,
e-Kane

Well said!! The IUP is making sure there are jobs out there for our party members.
If you don't like what the IUP are doing, don't cry about it, do something different and prove us wrong!
P.S. Great article e-Kane!
But there are jobs, haven't you looked at the job market?
@ seanlynch: It is not only the causal connections between jobs an economy that is the aim. It is also building a sense of community within the party.

I admit to making including some poor statistics in the article (although in the article I actually say they are poor statistics but whatever). I'm just happy that we are having a bit of a discussion about this; and I'll leave it at that. I think I've had more than the 2 cents I deserve.
@Hook
1. Poor wording. As been stated in the party program, using a tool is not the same as your full blown ideology. Our stance on the left ideology should be obvious in the party program. Offering support and trying to create greenhouses is not the same as wanting to create a society dominated by communes. I thought the metaphor of yin and yang was clear. /:
2. this is a little like point nr 1. hence the same answer more or less goes here
3. I am not sure how this could contradict our party program since we actually mention co-ops in it. I have never fully understood why proponents of left movements thinks that they have monopoly on co-ops and similar things. And good for labour if you have communes. feel free to prove your actions to be better than ours, by your actions (:
That said thanks for taking time to comment on the article. Fell free to launch counter articles also

Voted. The whole point of a government is to provide jobs. This is just not waiting to get into power 🙂
