A New Strategy

Today we lost Texas and Ontario. With the loss of Ontario, Canada as a nation ceased to exist. However, Canada as a people continue live on, mostly in their former territories, where they are trapped without citizenship or currency. I have heard calls for the Canadians to move to New Jersey and Florida to fight for what is left of the United States and to reinforce the fortress states. I disagree with this strategy, however.
It is now time for a new strategy. Every strategy that we have employed in the last three weeks has failed. We are facing a much larger and ever growing force that overcomes our defenses in each and every region they attack. If they fail the first time, they simply attack again immediately without giving us a chance to recover from the first battle. With our northern ally now gone, we have an opportunity that did not exist while Canada existed.
Rather than moving the Canadians to our fortress states, I propose that we place a Q5 hospital and defense system in another state, such as New York, Virginia, or Pennsylvania. Every Canadian living in enemy territory, which is almost every Canadian period, should move to the new fortress state. There are several thousand Canadians. With their help, we should be able to hold another of our regions so that we have three bases to work from in the event the rest of the nation is overrun, rather than just two. While not a very optimistic strategy, it might give us the drive to start pushing back the PEACE forces that are occupying most of North America.

I think we need to get our ambassador and president talking to them right now if they arnt already about options like these. Sitting around in occupied canada is not a good option.
Good Idea. It should be New York. Most people there are stubborn. That's why it still has a high population despite having a Q3 Hospital.

I'm an RL New Yorker, my companies are in NY but I'm in Florida because I have to be for a Q5

I think one really strong fortress is the best choice to get the initiative.
If we have 2 targets we have to block U cheaper, until we take one of them, then U will have again one fortress but less strong so easier to destroy it.
If U have 3 or more the situation is even better for us, we can block U on more points and take them one after other.
Think on it. Supposing that U have 10K active user (U haven't) what's better, one region with 10K user, or 3 with 3K user in each of them?

I think New York needed a hospital anyway, a while back I saw a manager offering the Q5 hospital for a dollar so long as it was used in the states, no idea what happened here.
No. Their efforts would be better spent making Iron in Spain or sabotaging the occupation's economy by working at low wellness.
Has Emerick actually given a statement or anything since his victory? Because I haven't heard anything at all from him (nespaper, etc.). Did I miss something?

the Canadian government doesn't have a plan, otherwise they would have been telling us eCanadians what to do in the event the country fell. Everybody has seen this coming for a while now, and the Jacobi administration has not come up with a contingency. They have not informed us of what the plans were in case our entire country fell, so as a result, no one in eCanada knows what to do. No wonder the hungarians endorsed him for re-election.
the problem is that we will have trouble building the third fortress due to most of our active members already living in New Jersey and Florida.
I agree with Woxan. I have provided my Canadian employees with moving tickets and encouraged them to relocate to Austerus, Spain. Canada was rich in RMs so they are better used building the wall in Austerus and making iron for the allied war effort.

I didn't hear about the Spain deal either. I'm in Florida now instead.

So far, the only plan that I have heard from eCanada came from Jacobi after the fall of Ontario. Basically, it's encouraged that every eCanadian move to the eUS and fight from there... However, I agree with the fact that the eCanadians should move to eSpain and provide a production boost to the Iron market, as well as adding to the wall in case of a PEACE invasion.

Honestly, I don't know what the best strategy is for Canada or the US. I am trusting our leadership for the best course of action.
nah tht will divide the wall. if we r divided they will conquer. If we all unite in 1 stronghold we can make a wall big enuf to ward off any possible attack.

Hey this is what i kind of was thinking last night while contemplating different tactics that need looking at. I kind of still new and don’t know everything yet but I was also thinking of making like pocket states behind them if they were not accessible by another way. Like if South Carolina was not accessible by ocean put one in North Carolina and Georgia and it protects SC as well. Like I said I’m new and not aware of all the ins and outs but was just throwing this out there. But I do agree that we need to change are strategy.

THird Fortress? why stop there, we need a 4th and 5th and 6th and so on.
Our opponet in Indonessia has a Q5 in EVERY Region.

Not a very good Idea. Honestly, with even California and Ontario falling we need all the help we can get. Meaning we need Florida and New Jersey to be as strong as possible. Dividing or spliting incoming forces is not benifical now. In the future, those states would be great for fortressess. But in war, you don't build fortresses. In war you use the one's you built, and prepare them for siege.
i disagree because we've seen that splitting our attention btwn Ontario w/ 2500+ citizens and TX w/ 1100+ citizens caused us to lose both...we need the people in just two places with 4k plus people in each, there will be less liklihood of them attacking FL and NY for instance and losing both because NY only has 1k in it and we've seen that they can take states up to 2500. PEACE hasn't proven that they could take down a state w/ 4k+ though. So, I would say either move to the US (FL or NJ) or Spain's high iron region.
I think our enemies would call this strategy "divide and conquer."

I disagree, i think what we need to do now is get the word out about the game. invite as many people to Florida or NJ as possible. i wanna BABY-BOOM!!!

I agree. We need Canada and we need more defense systems. We need to keep building DCQ5's in every state and use a defensive bonus to our advantage. Populate the original 13 and move out from there. New York sounds like a good idea for Canadian expatriates. They can work on branching north from there. Snake out. O7

You're forgetting something: Hungary is a nice place to live. Why should they move when we just lowered their taxes and raised their minimum wage?
Don't worry, USA, we're bringing low taxes to you as well.
The only comment I've seen from Emerick was a response on a British post, upset about a very legit new concern (find Wingate's new article for more). He made some comment about "my eRepublik." Maybe he thought he was elected world dictator or something.
This might be worth trying. Should a state with high resources be considered? Both Louisiana and Illinois have high oil ... a few remaining states have more than one RM. Also, where are the businesses employing the bulk of eAmericans located? That can't be ignored either - there will be an impact on employment when the shift occurs.
New York already has a high population of inactive players so it would make sense US-wise, but I think they would be better off moving to Spain to help defend the new q5 in Austerus. They can work their for good wages and help with the war effort. The MPP will allow them to fight for the US in all our battles. Several months ago after the fall of WSR and Podolia, Spain's last iron region was our last source of iron. No iron, no guns - no guns no fight. This still holds true. However, it is up to the Canadian people to decide for themselves. They are certainly welcome here for as long as necessary.
waste of resources, at this point the only thing left to do is consolidate, we need to get down to as few regions as possible, stop one big attack and launch a counteroffensive.
while i agree that that is a good idea i think that another thing that you have said needs to be noticed.

well then shouldnt we make sure that there is even less of a chance of that happening and build up our wall in one of the fortresses or Austerus
