A New Hope?

Day 827, 02:33 Published in Belgium Belgium by Rithulme

My friends,

There is something wrong with this country, when democracy fails the people must intervene. And, with pain in my heart, I’m inclined to say democracy has failed in eBelgium. It was with the best intentions, and maybe it even was necessary but nevertheless it isn’t the right path to take. What is he talking about you al wonder, well I’m talking about our government. In the hard times after our independence we struggled against a new, more covert invasion of this country from all sides. In our dire need we turned to drastic measures to help. People from surrounding nations, friends and acquaintances of political candidates rushed to this country to install a real Belgian government. In this process we forgot one thing, what is a government? A government is a group of people, elected by the citizens to control a nation and make decisions in the best interest of the citizens. I’m not doubting this government made decisions that were mostly in the best interest of the people, and I’m sure the majority of the government worked with the best of intentions. But we must remember this government was not elected by the citizens.

Yes indeed, democracy has failed but tomorrow the people can intervene. Tomorrow all of you have a chance to choose a new government, and I hope all of you will decide to take that chance. And I also hope all the people who have the possibility to manipulate the vote to ignore the wishes of the ebelgian people and take away their rights of self-government, I hope those people will think again, listen to their conscience and don’t vote tomorrow.

Finally I would like to use this last paragraph to praise four dedicated people, the candidates of Res Belgica. Res Belgica is a political party that stands for change, we want to take a step away from this struggle against PTO’s by getting more people in eBelgium that care for this nation and want to help build its glorious future. We want to take a step away from all the arguments and infighting that seems to be bound to the politics of this nation. Finally we want to take a step towards democracy, self-government en stability. We have chosen to go to the elections with a small list so we can be sure of the trustworthiness and dedication of those people. Res Belgica has a rich history of fighting for the Belgian cause, even in times of occupation and exploitation when many people chose to take refuge abroad. We will continue this fight for the best of eBelgium no matter what will happen.
