Foreword

So, here we are. The buzz and talk surrounding the mysterious ad campaign has come to it's climax and the truth is revealed. The Radical Freethinker's Alliance is no more. In it's place stands a new party, with clear aims, a clear reason for existence, and a clear purpose - to create, train and support the building blocks of the eUK's future. From the ruins of the RFA, rises Spectrum.

But what makes Spectrum different from the RFA? The RFA didn't live up to its name, and it never had done since the days of Goku Jones and the House of Lords boycott. If that's what Radicalism in the UK meant, we didn't want to be part of it. Spectrum is simple and pure; it delivers what it promises - a party that unites all political views, from all over the left/right spectrum towards one goal. That goal is to better the eUK.

Whilst the RFA had grown dull and tired. It continued to produce decent congress results, and we even managed an amazing CP campaign for John Bartlett. But the party lacked style, and it lacked the substance needed to maintain good results consistently. Everyone, both those in the party and those in other parties, wanted to see a new, improved model. The RFA were the 'dull centrists'. Now Spectrum are the innovative independents.

One thing Spectrum proudly recognises is the potential of new members. Whilst we realise that the 'old guard' often do know best, and can offer the best advice based on their experience, we've recently seen shining stars join the RFA and make huge contributions to the party - often larger contributions than some longer-serving members. Two fine examples of this are sonicslice and GrendelGrendel, both of whom have worked hard in creating Spectrum. What we aim to do is encourage and nurture new talent, and enable them to develop as quickly and as productively as possible, through the use of new technologies ran by the party. Experience is earned over time, but intelligence and activity is something we need to identify and encourage.

And with that, allow us to introduce to you the official aims and mission statement from Spectrum...

~Andy Millward & Joachim von Bremen - Proud Co-Leaders of Spectrum

Spectrum's Aims

- Initiate a new wave of evolution and innovation where the standpoints of fixed ideologies make way for participation, efficiency and cooperation.

- Promote substantive, not superficial participation in the decision making processes of the nation, by uniting the left/right divide.

- Act as a platform, from which other projects independent of Spectrum can develop and flourish.

- Create technological solutions to practical problems, implementing high quality, user friendly API tools for the country, for the party, for the people.

- Foster a society where the dominant 'old boys network' becomes less important, and all citizens, no matter their experience points, are valued for their vision, talent and dedication.

Spectrum's Mission

Spectrum exists to enable it's members to become influential and involved citizens of the eUK. Spectrum welcomes genuinely new points of view, from its members, and from outside the party. Discussion and cooperation are the basis of a dynamic and participatory government. In maximising the use of currently available technologies, and adopting new technologies we will ensure efficiency and encourage participation in the workings of the eUK. Spectrum seeks to push the eUK forward, in size, in strength, into the future.
