A new alliance structure needed!
Brathasena
It’s been quite a while since I have written or even published anything in erepublik. Some time ago I closed down my “old newspaper” and started this new one. And with a name change, most of my subscribers probably wonders who this is and why they even are subscribing to this newspaper. I do hope though that you at least read this article before you decide to unsubscribe, and more and better articles will come in the future..
As you all know, the powerhouse of TWO recently threw in the towel and split up. This creates huge potential for introducing some new fun and excitement into this game. I do believe that the bilateral world we have seen over the last few years in erepublik has been quite boring and destructive for the whole of the game.
Having only 2 sides in our eworld it creates the annoyance of always having to be on one said which makes you automatically against the other, you are easily judged as not being trustworthy only for having the origin or citizenship of “the other side”, which brought with it a lot of ugly trolling and flat out racism. Thought I haven’t all been bad. We’ve seen some truly epic battles between the two sides something I hope we still get to see even if we should get more alliances than 2 giga alliances.
I am therefor living in the hope that this next phase of ehistory will give us a more multilateral world and more excitement. Personally I am hoping for at least 3 semi-equal alliances, and more cross-alliance battles. With enemy and friendly ties going across all alliances I hope we can avoid ending up with 2 against 1 “tactics”. Instead it would be great to have exciting and perhaps unpredictable 1 vs. 1 vs. 1 alliance battles.
I honestly hope that during this time off from alliances more than two giga alliances will grow up. I am hoping for at least 3 semi equal alliances with enemy and friendly ties going cross all alliances. This to avoid any 2 against 1 tactics, but keep it 1 vs. 1 vs. 1, keeping it a bit more unpredictable and exciting perhaps.
In my view I would therefor like to see these 3 alliances forming.

I realize that there has to occur more than one diplomatic miracle for these lineups to become reality… But I do hope that I am not the only one wanting a bit more fun and excitment to be reintroduced into this game....
To be continued….

nice article o/
blue and red alliance is OK,
but green is not :/
see my article about this theme

The green team is maybe more a result of my wish to setup 3 alliances. The red and blue is nice enough and the green team is more or less those that were left
Romania/Turcia si Macedonia (FIROM) = cam nu mie crede))
Where is Thai?
false :/
Three alliances would be nice, bit of variety.
Cool to see you throwing out some possible alliances there, but I think we'll see the strong eCountries trying to form only two powerblocks, who will be in those alliances would be up to the MoFA's anf CP's to choose. I hope that the eWorld will open up and think about every offer they receive.
I am afraid of that as well...

i think we are destined for a 2 alliance world again, there are not enough resources in the world for all the high power countries to be at 100% bonuses so that rules out 1 alliance as none of them would accept 80% when 100% is available (greed at its finest)
when 2 alliances are considered its possible for the larger countries in a two alliance world to get 100% bonuses (provided they are split the right way), obviously for one of the alliances not both,
the possibility of a 3 alliance world only really happens when not enough of the countries get along well enough to ally themselves this would in my opinion be the most interesting but for the big countries it adds more risk of losing the bonus once its gained so they would no doubt find ways to get along with enough allies for a 2 ally world to ensure the better safety of their bonuses
The two alliance system formed because a group wanted to rule the world, so the remaining countries formed up to defend themselves. Now it's necessary to be in the most powerful alliance to keep your country on the map.
IMO the game just doesn't allow for anything but the two alliance system.
it doesn't help that citizens in weaker countries move to the stronger because of the extra bonuses which in turn strengthens the strong and further weakens the weak ( i know many people who have polish cit to fund MUs, and if people do it for MUs others will do it for profit)
Yeah, it's not ideal. Guess there's not a lot you can do.
to add one to that, has there ever been more than a two alliance bloc? There have been three 'large' alliances in the past, but they always seem to have 2 join up on one side (TEDEN/CoTWO). Its always been, and will, a two bloc world. We only see a third bloc shortly before it shifts in balance of power, or in order to bring more nations to the side of one alliance which needs help but nations won't join outright.
These alliances need to be sorted and soon because the game is getting stale and needs fresh incentive...god knows it won't come from the admins.
The Green Team would be slaughtered...
It would end up 2 v 1...ala TEDEN and CoTWO
Bulgaria in Team red?! ..definitely wrong!

Are this you's units?
what about small countries? 🙁
Green Team... or Bitch Team? Because necessarily that team must ally with the red or the blue ones...
