A Most Important Battle

Ladies and gentlemen and literate pigs,

Before our very eyes rages perhaps the most imporant battle of this year so far.



Why is this battle important?

The "sides" of the new global alliances are finally beginning to take shape. Up until this battle they had not really been forced to go directly head to head, at least in any battles with serious ramifications.

* On one side is the "PANAM" bloc (a name which will supposedly be changed in the coming days or weeks): Brozil, Argentina, France, the eUS, Romanian (not a PANAM member but has an MPP with Brozil, signaling a big shift in foreign policy), Croatia (ditto Romania), and Canadian and Turkish mobile forces.

* On the other is the budding "NWO" bloc: Spain, Poland, Sweden, Hungary, and Serbia.

* Wading into the war on unclear long term sides are: the UK, Indo, and Russia (all fighting for Brozil) as well as China, Bulgaria, and Italy (all fighting for Spain).



Countries are finally taking clear firm sides, and this battle is forcing them to do so. In a way, this battle is the first shot in what will certainly be a protracted global war between the blocs. Both will be looking to win this battle to build momentum in alliance negotiations and war plans.

Everything is being tested out right now. Which countries are willing to sacrifice for each other? Which side is best able to communicate with each other to send troops where needed? Which side has the most raw fire power? The most gold and big spenders? How hard will allies throw down for each other in the final round? How will time zone coverage play out?

The world will be watching. The world will remember this day as the day wavering countries were forced to put up or shut up. So far I think both sides have a lot to be proud of. But in the end, only victory will matter. The losing side will inevitably spend some days soul searching after this battle is over. And the victor....

Well, to the victor goes the spoils.
