A Message From Your CP: Addressing Military Concerns

Citizens of the Philippines,

I have, in comments on various articles, noted some concerns about the current World War. I would like to address these.

1. Why are we sending Mobile Units and not purchasing an MPP?

To quote the eRepublik wiki:

“Alliances are triggered when a country is defending an original region.”

In other words, we could purchase an MPP with France or Russia for thirty Gold. However, because France and Russia are attacking, and not defending home soil, the MPP would not be activated. The US are unlikely to attack France or Russia, because they are too busy trying to reclaim lost regions. In short, we would have spent thirty gold, and still not be able to fight in the war. This, I consider a waste of money.

2. Why have Marines been sent, but not the Naval Fleet?

The Marines were sent originally, simply because they are very quickly deployed. Generally Marines are more active than our Sailors, and so can be sent into the war zone within 24 hours. At the time of deployment, we did not have full intel on the situation. Now we have a better idea of what is going on, and how long the war will last, the Philippine Naval Fleet will also be activated.

3. What about us at home? We don’t get any fun.

Do not panic, myself and my Minister of Foreign Affairs are in talks with the Chinese President, and we have come to an arrangement. Hopefully we will be able to sign a contract for a new Training War very similar to the Malaysian Training War we were supposed to be partaking in earlier this month. Keep your eyes peeled.

4. What can we do to help?

All our soldiers need weapons, I suggest working for DoHA Weapons and Iron, or a government contracted Iron company will help us supply our boys. If you are in the Home Unit, maybe you might consider a cut in pay so we can produce weapons cheaper. This will mean you will get a better supply when the Training War occurs. Obviously, this will be negotiated with our Director of Home Affairs, Bestie101.
