A Message from the President
Guy Kilmore
Given the recent discussion that arose, we still have some actions to take or we will slide out of control. (Yes, it was a heavy handed allusion to the bear picture.)
I am proposing two changes in this article that I wish to see. As I have stated earlier with a decling population in eThailand we can't afford to rely upon being self-sufficient and must focus on a more global approach to our supply issues. We are going to have to open our borders and stimulate trade. I propose that all taxes have a flat 5% across the board. This will not do much to boost the Thai treasurey. I choose 5% because it will at least provide some income towards Thailand, while not warding away internal or external investors.
I am also requesting that Thailand transfer the bulk of the gold in its treasurey and a substantial portion of the baht to the Central Bank of Thailand. One it will allow me to continue to invest funds to keep the money exchange markets fluid and, hopefully, continue to build the gold in our treasurey.
I am also concerned about the foreign stage. Thailand posses only medium resources meaning there is no real resource gain for anybody attacking us. What I am afraid of is Indonesia has to go through us to have any influence on the Asian continent. There was a reason contract between them, Pakistan, and Iran to give them permission to attack some of Pakistan's satelite states. They must take Hat Yai to do it. Now, in reality they can do this with or without our permission. I hope they seek our permission and allow us to continue the friendly relations we have. If they do not, I want to at least keep some of our gold from falling into their hands.
My Agenda to be completed by next weeken😛
Examine our Military Structure
Prioritize contact with other countries to stimulate trade and to protect Thailand's soverignty. (I hope that by stimulating trade I will be able to bring increase food/grain to Thailand)
I thank you for your time and considerations on these proposals. (I apologize for any grammatical errors or lack of flow. I write this with a huge migraine and my vision is a little "off".)

Agree with the taxes propose. Also we should change import tax for iron and oil to 1%.
About the Central Bank of Thailand, before we transfer any money, there should be a daily report for ALL the transactions that the bank does. This is very important to prevent any corruption attempt.
Finally, it is vital for Thai independence that we have good relations and sign peace contracts with our neighbors.
Good job Guy.
For the record, the contract in question:

I'm going to go ahead and make proposals to transfer as much of the treasury as possible to Central Bank of Thailand.
Alvaro: currently, all government expenditures are logged at http://ethailand.ipbfree.com/index.php?showtopic=16&st=30entry530
I agree, however, that we should be more thorough going forward. Particularly, I would recommend that for every currency transaction, price and seller be noted, no matter how much of a pain that might be to manage.
I can agree to it. I would just post the transactions at this link instead.

I will have to sticky it when I have the time.
@Alvaro: I agree with that, hence the contracts and directive I set-up for the running of government owned Orgs. I think 5% is fine, it is low enough and gives us some treasurey to continue funding the few things that Thailand too.
At the end of the day, it isn't too big of a deal, but the government does need some tax revenue.
Ealb, I thought you just made a mistake, but man, that link you and I set-up is epic. Good Job Erep!
Proposal to shift 95000 THB to the Central Bank of Thailan😛

Why is it that Guy's images never load for me?
I can only see one problem with your idea to open our borders to foreign companies..
The value of THB. Most companies wont be willing to export to a country if they cant make a profit. The low value of our currency prevents it.
As I said before the value should be much closer to 100THB = 1 Gold. That way we can export with a profit and still be a desirable target for foreign companies.
@Blindness
Our weak currency has been our main problem for months now. Our domestic markets are poached by foreign companies, currency trading is fast and furious, and our treasury doesnt have reserves in gold to buy up the extra baht on the markets. There are too many companies attempting to operate in Thailand and not enough workers, and the companies that are successful export 90% of their goods.
Its a brutal web we're snared in.
another way to deal with the lack of raw material would be to help national citizens open RM companies abroad. And then export their production to Thailand..
I own a Gifts company with an export license to thailand but I simply cant sell anything here because of the currency.. I would be losing money with every gift I sold..
I run into basically the same problem with exporting resource companies. It is more cost effective for them to sell to another country. The only real solution is more people, however I have little control over that.
I am hoping that with some of the actions of the Central Bank, while I can't hope to control the market I can make it active enough that some of the smaller countries who are only grain rich will be willing to invest. We had some success with a country from the Netherlands who would use the baht they made to bring cheap goods back to their country. I am hoping to create an enviornment where these relationships can become more successful.
I think I can work out a similar deal with a few portuguese companies.. what do you think?
Nouveauks´s "cheapest product on planet earth" app and similars can make as magically visible to trader SOs and travelling wilburies alike if we are ready to open our markets.
The baht is relatively cheap regarding gold, but as my fellow comrades point out, that can be in our advantage. We have had the cheapest Moving tickets in the eWorld for months, for example.
We could maybe specialize in "bigger" goods like houses...
And of course, regarding raws, vertical integration seems like the only solution for me. And the black market and direct donations, of course.
Just thinking aloud... 😃
Being "as" in second line "us"

@txerren
the main problem with that is thailand not being self-suficient. We need foreign companies and with the current value of the baht there is no way they will be willing to export their products..
I'm tottaly against it, NEVER leave the country's treasure in a organization, extremelly dangerous business we are talking about. See what happened to the brazillian SO SAPEME, 1000 golds were stolen.
Which is why I created contracted obligations for those who have access to the Central Bank. Most countries operate with their funds in the SO. Thailand's funds in the treasurey makes us fairly vulnerable to loss of a portion of our funds through an invasion or by political take over from an outside country.
@Maximus: (Even though you are no longer a congressman, I will say this for general consideration). I am concerned about the situations in several newly formed countries who had their treasurey raided. I am also concerned that if we loose a territory we loose a portion of our treasurey. This is something Thailand cannot afford.
Ironically, the only time Thailand's treasurey was ever effectively raided was when it was sitting in government coffers.

Should be "only timeS", as Rockman was not the first to plunder the eThai treasury. He was just the only one to do it post-v1 when the President needed confederates in Congress rather than being able to do it all by his lonesome.
Should have taken the gold.
