A Message From the Party President

Day 759, 18:35 Published in USA USA by Ballman

I'd like to start by saying....

THANK YOU AMERICA'S ADVANCEMENT PARTY

What else is there for me to say? You've given me a great responsibility, and I am honored and humbled for it. So I'd like to take one moment to say thank you to my supporters, my voters, and my party. Even if you didn't vote for or support me that is alright, as it is your right to support who you believe is the best for this party. I hope that I can earn your support from here on out though 😉 Now enough with the sappy stuff, lets get down to business

ORGANIZATION

While I was campaigning one of my major platforms was instituting organization that this party is sorely in need of. So to bring about organization I am instituting departments. These departments will serve a variety of purposes that will help our party in many ways. So without further ado I give you the departments of the AAP:

Department of Recruiting - Directed by Aersidius. The DoR will do what its name implies, recruit new members of eRepublik to get them to join the AAP. This is done by showing what our party has to offer, and that we are a community dedicated to advancing our country and our members.

Department of Education - Directed by Aldric Harper. The DoE is a department that I am very proud of, because it will be the AAP's very own mentoring service. Helping newer players learn the game faster than they normally would is good for keeping people around and helping them get more active. This in turn helps advance America, and since we are America's Advancement Party it only make sense for us to have a mentoring service. Preferably mentors will be at least level 16 and over 1 month old, however this is not a requirement.

Department of Communication - Directed by Daniel Dodge. The DoC is responsible for two things: writing in the AAP's newspaper and messaging the party. The newspaper will be handled by Daniel Dodge, but the main function will be messaging. Messaging the party is a great way to make members feel involved and will make them more likely to get active on the forums and IRC. As an added benefit for DoC workers messaging the party is a great way to get your name recognized, which is invaluable for advancing in politics.

Department of Business and Finance - Directed by Tormod. Like the Department of Communication the DoBF will be responsible for two things. Those two things are managing the party's companies and raising funds in other ways. The party's companies will be managed by Tormod and once up and running they will be a place where party members can find a job when the job market isn't being very kind, however this will take some time. Therefore we must look for alternative sources of income, which is where the Fundraising Committee comes in. The Fundraising Committee will be a group of people who are responsible for coming up with ways to raise money for the AAP, and then executing those plans. I cannot stress how important the Fundraising Committee is to keeping our party up and running, so I encourage anyone with good ideas to sign up.

Committee of Interparty Relations - Directed by Emmanuel Cruise. The CoIR is a group of people who will represent the AAP to other parties. These ambassadors to other parties will find out information about the party, such as information on candidates, the general party organization and feel, that party's feelings towards the AAP, etc. These ambassadors will write a weekly or bi-weekly report which will be submitted to the Department Head, currently Emmanuel Cruise. So if you are interested in learning about other parties but don't want to leave our great community this is the perfect job for you!

So now that you know how to help, DO IT! Helping with the little things leads to helping with the big things, which leads to you getting your name out to the masses, which is invaluable for future advancement in politics. By helping out in some little way for probably less than 30 minutes a day, you give yourself experience, credibility, and a title to boot! These things come in handy when running for political office, and even if you choose not to advance in politics they still reflect well on you. So you can help your party, your country, and yourself at the same time. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. 😉

This wraps up my first message to the party. I hope to make a weekly article announcing things I have to say, give it a personal touch in addition to the official AAP news source Advancing America. So until next time AAP...
