A Letter to Ireland from Starks Hayter

Day 562, 09:20 Published in Ireland Ireland by Starks Hayter

Hello,

It's the eve to the country president elections, and if tomorrow proves to be half as exciting as the last days, we're in for a good polling day. Regardless of the outcome, nobody can say that we didn't have a tremendous run, with fabulous support. If the citizens for for myself and Aran tomorrow, it is only the beginning.

CHANGE

A small word that has been mentioned time and time again over this election. It can be a bit of a scary word to some, but if you examine our manifestos, our promises, policies and ideas seem quite reasonable. When we mention the word 'Change', we're not talking about frivolous or radical amendments to our great country, we're talking about actually putting the work into our country to improve it. Great ideas have been voiced or mentioned in the past, and have failed, simply because people were lazy, or were unranked and inexperienced, and therefore not heard. Hopefully, tomorrow will mark the end of this era of laxity and ignorance.

MERITOCRACY

A longer word that has also seen some air in the media. This means that the best and brightest of us go forward into our government. In a consensus government, many leaders bring citizens forward, particularly ministers, to do our country's work, based on party politics. Over the past days, I have heard people saying something along the lines of 'I won't make the cabinet this time, because so-and-so will get election, and I have campaigned against him'. I say that this shouldn't stop an elected leader from hiring a citizen if he is the best man for the job.

ALLIANCE

People have also seen what is being advertised as the Alliance of Change being advertised during this campaign. This is the parties of ISRP, ICF, IFP, IF, FPI and PFF admitting that change is warranted at the moment. I am honoured that we have the backing of these groups to accomplish the hard work that I wish to start. Perhaps this is the beginning of a commitment to working for a better Ireland, lucidity and merit in the government, and a true, audible voice of the people.

THANK YOU!

I would just like to thank the number of people who have given great help during this campaign. First and foremost, Aran Tal has done an astonishing amount of work over this election. He has truly been an example that any Irishman should hope to follow. In reverse chronological order, I would like to thank the council of the ICF, Mannimarco, Theus Jackus, Michael Collins and Top Gun; the PP and running candidate for IF, O Bass and Pip Kelly; the PP and candidate of FPI, Jerek White; the PP and running candidate for IFP 5n4keyes and Alex Darkly; the head of the PFF, bunnieman. I would like the thank the ISRP party, who had supported me to run in the first place and have help up the entire campaign, as well as every citizen to have voted one of our articles, or made their voices heard on our behalf. Finally, a thank you in advance for every citixen to vote for Starks Hayter and Aran Tal tomorrow.
