A Lack of Hospitals

Day 276, 00:22 Published in South Africa South Africa by Brendan E Austerion

In a shocking realization, it was discovered today that NONE of the cities of South Africa have ANY hospitals! Compare this to, yes, the Japanese, who have 4 hospitals in their capital Jakarta, and the Italians, who also have 4 in their capital, Rome.

We asked an expert on the matter about the roles of hospitals in a nation and wellness of a citizen, and got the following reply:

"Wellness represents the Citizen's health and happiness indicator that helps him or her reach a higher productivity when he/she works and also increases their chances to win a fight. If wellness is 0 then soon the Citizen will die.

As for the hospital question, a hospital is needed in a region in order to heal soldiers after they lose a battle. The hospital can help a soldier only once a day due to manpower constraints."

From that reply, we can see that hospitals are integral to a nation's ability to fight and win a war, like the recent war between South Africa and the Japs. There's no doubt in anyone's mind that hospitals would be extremely helpful for South Africa to be a more powerful force in ERepublik, and would also help in any future defence efforts.

We asked citizen Brendan Austerion about the matter and his opinion. He said, "I recommend that prominent and more rich citizens of South Africa- anyone who can in fact- set up a hospital in a city. Our aim should be to have one hospital per city at least, and once there, hopefully we can go to two per city- we need to be able to defend ourselves in case of any future invasions."

The government and political parties were not available for comment.
