A History Moment

Seeing as I've seen others do history moments, I'd like to bring up an article I wrote when the Goon Menace was at its height.

I'm planning to do this once a week, and bring up interesting articles written by many an eCanadian from times past.

So, may I present to you...

THE GOON MENACE

For those of you who are new to Erepublik, and those of you who wish to express your opinions in order to educate these newer citizens about Goons, this is your article.

Goons first appeared 3 or 4 months ago, right around the time that all the UFO sightings were going on. A few days later, the first few Goons began to appear. They introduced themselves as a race from the planet of SomethingAwfulForums (so named because it must have been really awful to drive Goons away). They had already conquered planets such as Cybernations, and imposed their rule upon them.

It was obvious that the Goons had come to conquer once more, and the countries of the eWorld were united against this threat. We had the chance to stop their advance, and give the planets that they had already conquered some hope.
Edit: Important News! We have repelled the Goons! They are fleeing to Iran!
Though the Goons spread to many eCountries, their advances were held off by governments issuing huge amounts of currency just before Goons took power, and eSpain did their best to destroy the Goons when they went to Mexico, but the treacherous ePortugese stopped the eSpanish advance dead in its tracks.

From there some Goons decided to stay in Mexico, but others became greedy for power, and infiltrated the eUSA in order to seize power. However, the eAmericans were strong, and resisted this Goon invasion with all their might.

From their new bases, the Goons began to spread propaganda about being oppressed, relating themselves to the Holocaust of WWII. The weak minded believed their false stories, and began to welcome Goons with open arms. How did the Goons repay them? By betraying them and trying to take over their country. The Goons seemed determined to follow in the footsteps of lvl, and take over an entire country to impose their rule upon.

Now the Goons have come to Canada, and the question looms overhead. Will we push back the Goons and keep the eWorld safe for another day? Or will we betray the entire eWorld and welcome, even help the Goons?

I think it's obvious what the right answer is.
