A history contest
Dear citizens,
We would like to propose a contest to those of you who value their countries' history. What you have to do is to write a short article, no longer than 500 words, about the history of an eRepublik country. The best articles will be published on an external website that is being built right now. The published authors will get credit for their work, and a one month extra storage pack from our team.
We will give you plenty of freedom to add humor and some personal touches to your articles, while restricting yourselves to the 500 word limit. A decent dose of objectivity and impartiality is expected, but it's not required to approach this task with the strictness of a historian. Apart from this, the articles should be understood both by eRepublik citizens and people who are not familiar with the New World. And if you are really good with history, you may even submit articles about multiple countries.
We hope that you will enjoy digging into eRepublik history, and your articles will be expected at history@erepublik.com for the next seven days. More information about the winners, who will be chosen by our community and marketing departments, will be published in a future Insider article.

Why not on the wiki. You told everyone that you don't have alot of time and reports are handled months later. Please use the time to improve the game itself and faster responsetimes.

How can a maximum of 500 be too long. You can't use 501 words, but you can make it shorter if you want (read these words in the article: no longer than, word limit).

Is this a game or a journalistic training camp? Contests are great, but what would be even better is to add some new features for the game. Make it better for everyone. It feels like the admin are stalling on improvements by making these contests to distract us.
I'd rather see the game improved than these little contests that give an extra storage slot for a month to the winning citizen. Why not improve the game for everyone, rather than just 1 person.
I'm sorry if I came off angry above. But it's been 2-3 months and there has been no article about a new game feature or anything. For the last few months every article has been about a contest or a promotion about something the admin came across and though it was cool, like the podcast. Or it's been about the eRep store, or a calender for us to put in info.
There is always new ideas for game improvements, so why is nothing being done about it?
I want the next article released by the admin to be about how they are releasing the citizenship feature or something that adds to the enjoyability of the game and benefits everyone.
Storage packs are wrothless guys. Make the prize in GOLD admins, then people will actually try. Notice how the veterans all have storage packs to a degree?
