A Glimpse Into The CPF Lounge. Part 19

There's no CPF Lager anymore, so Lise Stubbings is munching on a fluff of happiness that has been spun around a paper cone some way. Her face is a bit stained by the pink fluff but she is giggling.

Devilcarrier is hunched over a coffee table at his favourite chair in the CPF "drop in and have a pint" lounge. James McNamarra is sitting with him, eying Stubbings.

"I hear that Addy is going into one of his 'reality trances' and won't be fully conscious here much for a while," James says.

"Great comic James," Devilcarrier says, looking up with a grin. "You captured me perfectly."

"What are you doing there?" James asks.

"I'm calculating the prices of a unit of health on the market today," Devilcarrier says. "I was worried that food might be scarce after our battles last night. I sure used a lot of it myself. Today, however, there is more on the market. The price for 1 CAD is .029 now. Using that figure, I've calculated that the best buy on the market at this moment is offered by Combat rations, which gives 9 health for 2.02 CAD. That's .22 CAD a health point and that comes to .006 gold. If you go for the 10 health food, though, your going to be paying Frodo's Lembas .014 gold. They want 4.00 CAD for one of their high nutrition packages."

"Even that is better than . 025 per point for a Health Pack, though," James says sagely.

"S'truth," says Devilcarrier. "Half the price."
