A Formal Apology
Tom Cauchon
An Apology to the eUS government and to the citizens of the eUS
Before I begin this article, I hope to make two things clear about the intention and the influence this letter will have on the future.
1. This letter should not influence the unblacklisting of any other citizen that is currently blacklisted. As we were blacklisted on an individual basis, the unblacklisting should follow suit. This apology should not set a precedent for any other blacklisted player to follow.
2. This apology does not extend to any other player that is currently blacklisted, nor does it claim that any other player wishes/desires to be unblacklisted.
And thus, we begin:
To the eUS government, of which I was a part of at the time of my blacklisting and am no longer such a member of:
This is not a letter in which I explain my actions or why I did what I did. This is, however, a letter of apology.
I formally apologize for my actions in the Civil War, I apologize for fighting against the eUS Constitution and our Dictatorship laws. While I continue to strongly oppose the dictatorship law, I realize now that the way to handle such opposition is through democracy rather than civil war. Furthermore, as your Chief of Staff at the time, I apologize for going against the honor of the executive branch and opposing the very position to which I was appointed.
To the people of the eUS, of which I have and will always remain a part of:
I am sorry for causing a month of argument and distrust among our people. I am sorry for helping to create a partisan split in our government, which has been reflected in our people. As the Chief of Staff in the Gnilraps administration, you elected me to uphold the eUS Constitution and the laws of our land. Whether or not you wanted to see the dictatorship crumble, you firstly elected me to uphold the law as Chief of Staff of the eUS government.
Thank you for reading. I now ask the eUS Congress, to consider me for unblacklisting, so I can rejoin the community as a full member of the eUS.
Sincerely,
Tom Cauchon
Former SFP Party President/Revolutionary Chairman
Former eUS Chief of Staff
Former eUS Secretary of Media
Former eUS Deputy Secretary of Citizen Affairs

Tom has been honest and straightforward throughout the whole ordeal, and this is a gracious apology and recognition.
It takes a man to stand up for what is right and a bigger man to admit when he was wrong.
Your beliefs might have you wanting to fight for one side, but as a member of government, your position should of had you either not fight or stand to one side.
But to speak publicly like you have, shows the true character of the man. I salute you and wish more players/gov officials around the eWorld would take note of the way you have conducted your self.
It takes a man to stand up for what is right and a bigger man to admit when he was wrong.

Interesting this comes out well into the day we vote for a new congress, and you're in a position to be elected.
What is the proscribed time for these apologies? TC, I think it was supposed to be on the 17th between 3:00 and 3:15am
He's just a political opportunist. He's had two months to show any form of a sincere apology, but chooses to do so once he is about to get elected possibly. It's in poor form, and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
@SColbert
That bad taste is your daddy's appendage, maybe you should spit it out; use Listerine to remove his taste....
Franklin why do you have to bully people? You only destroy our community with such hurtful language. I've spoken to hundreds of players who have quit just because you are such a bully on the forums.

Respect
Thank you.
Aside from the fact where nobody elected you, sure. OK.

That's not how elections work.
Idiot.

oh, Great Oracle Of All The Is Right And Good, pray tell, then, how do elections work?
doody head.
i can remember presidents being impeached for appointing mof's mid term. and your cabinet might contribute to your votes. for example a trump/ palin .
At least he isn't a c**t waffle who defected to the enemy during a major invasion, fought in an American Core region against an ally who then sneaked back into America through the backdoor; you on the other hand are a traitorous f**k pig....
I got a Forfeit Point for calling Pfeiffer a bad word name.
my suspicions that Pfeiffer is behind the reporting of such "offenses" is now heightened.
I will, going forward, when intending to use such profanity, use the word "Pfeiffer" instead. e.g. it's funny to watch videos of people being punched in the Pfeiffer, but not funny when it happens to me.
like bullpfeiffer, pfeifferhole or son of as pfeiffer?
and pfeifferwaffle.
Much Respect
You did the right thing. Thanks.
Thank you for this...
110% for unblacklisting. Best of luck with the feds and uswp though buddy.

Well maybe I am gonna be the only blacklister in congress this month. Good luck Tom!
LOL
So meta!
I come here to play eRepublik, not eusaforum.
Respect.
Son, I am disappoint.
nobody elected you as CoS, the biggest liar appointed you into his cabinet and dropped you like a hot potato as soon his term was at stake.
you are showing weakness of ideals or do you want us to believe that the meta-eus forum is democratic???????????????
Wow I don't even think I am as butthurt as you FreemanJack. And that is saying something!
Damn. Out butthurt Pilotphil?! This is a historic day!
Its actually a fair question.
You can "un-blacklist" like you can "un-ring" a bell
I see two things here: common sense & jack asses.
Once all the rhetoric dies down and the sensitive "feelings" are soothed then common sense starts to make sense. Good for you that you can reflect on what transpired and realize that maybe, just maybe, there was a more acceptable way to approach a situation. Let's use the right tool for the job. Sledgehammer is not the proper tool for threading a needle.
As for the jack asses I suppose they will always be with us but man is their tune getting tiresome.
