A few words about Tantis...

Day 382, 00:14 Published in Canada Russia by Edward Edison

When Tantis decided to finish his political career, I asked him a few questions. Unfortunately it was more than a week ago and I hadn't time to post his answers sooner, but it's even better to read them now, when we all know that Tom Hagen is the new Canadian Prime Minister.

Q: Why did you decide to quit Canadian Politics? It looks really strange, because you're the second CPF leader that decided to finish your political career after the presidential term?

A: Well all the negativity and my own party quitting on me there is nothing here for me. Not many citizens or politicians seem to like me or want me as there president thats ok with me.

Q: What do you think Canada did achieve with you as a president?

A: Well first we had a strong Government our Military was getting stronger everyday and the economy is showing promise. Heck after Elections Ill be able to buy my own Q5 house.

Q: If you could turn time back, would you change some of your decisions?

A: Yes. And that would be trusting a few people. Other than that my decisions were good.

Q: Who are you going to vote for and why?

A: "Zanalan, all CPP can do is kick someone while they are down. And when they seem threatened they go on the offensive, and its been like that for months. Actually ever since I started. They maybe the hostility against me they are afraid that my platform is better and I can do more than they can. But since I'm not going to run I'd rather see someone whos more productive and doesn't complain as much as the CPP does".

Also I would like to know what Canadians think of Tantis, so you can read their answers below.

Q: What can you say about Tantis as a fellow canadian and as a president?

David Eastcorner

I think that Tantis is a good guy, and a fine president. However, "fine" is not necessarily what Canadians want. I expected a little more out of Tantis. Then again, we want more out of everyone, don't we?

Though Tantis did a OK job as President, I think it's time that someone else took the position.

He seems to me that he is a quite silent guy that doesn´t say much,Ive read his comments on the board and they are very rarley offensive. I personaly have nothing against him. As president however ive not seen any change since the last month, sure we will get a Q 5 defence system and we got a immigrant plan. Thats all the change ive noticed, as owner of two companies Iqaluit moving and Newfoundland Petroleum I can't say that he has in any way improved the situation for ous, neither has he made it worse. In my eyes he's a ok presidenet but nothing more.

Granted I haven't been in Canada a heck of alot of time, however I've grown to like the fact that this governing body of a nation does take time to discuss issues which would effect the nation as a whole from what I've read in this month alone makes it sound as though there are some people inside canada who would like more power for themselves (or their own political party(s)).

Fact is that even on this sort of stage it isn't the fact that you can 'get' all powerful since that has been shown via the many proposals which have been tried to be put through via just 'proposing' something and hoping it gets through, unless of course there are those which are defending the country via tip offs as to when someone is stupid enough to put a vote up (or proposal) without giving congress or the government of the day to put it's 2 cents worth in before putting it to a vote.

As for Tantis as a president I can see that over the last couple of months (remember I'm reading this from archived forums) I can see that he did lead canada into a golden era which we are in right now (it might not seem like that, but it is).

Fact is it might be time for tantis to let go of the reins now (or soon) and let someone else ride canada in this golden era, no I'm not about to take sides (I am in the anarchy party for a reason).

As for a fellow canadian, I don't recall ever having a run in with tantis...ever as a citzen nor a congressman.

Well, there is no doubt that Tantis has Canada's best intentions in mind but I question his effectiveness as president/prime minister. Very little has been done under the Tantis administration and I've seen the occasional abuse of power. I do sympathise with Tantis's new article titled "Response to Negativity" and Dean22's psychological warfare against him (and everybody else). Tantis is a good citizen though the people deserve a better leader, both Zanalan and Tom Hagen are very good candidates.

Tantis is a good friend, ready to help others and less experienced users. Each time I asked him for something or PMed him, I would receive his answer the next day. He knows his limits. He has been a good president, not the best one, but a good prime minister. Canada hasn't lived it's best days under his command, but I can't say it was it's worst days.

Well, I think Tantis as a fellow Canadian is a great citizen of eCanada. He has done a lot for this country and it's citizens.

Tantis as a President... Well, I think he's doing a decent job and I agree with him from his latest article, that things he wishes he could do, have taken a back seat to the things that he must do. It can be a lot of work that I think most people don't understand because they say hey, It's just a game, how much work could there be?.

Having said that, I do think Tantis could have done a better job towards the economy etc. The government just seems to be to caught up on "We need to raise the value of the CAD." There are other things that need be done, and I think they have not been getting done lately. I'll leave it at that, but I would also like to add that I think people need to stop saying things to people to the point were they want to leave.

As with Tantis' latest article saying that he will not be running again because of the attacks towards him. I personally think these kinds of attacks need to stop. If things are going to improve, we need a prime minister that is going to be 'in office' for a couple months. This being in office only 1 month is not getting us anywhere.
