A fantastic night... Full of fantastic people!

Many eAussies would have witnessed or at least heard about (I hope) the mad dash for my second attempt to claim my first Battle Hero medal in the Zona Austral conflict. Well I would love to commemorate and describe the nights events to everyone so they can see what fantastic these eAussies are!


So to start if off I was viewing the Zona Austral region conflict and noticed a rather reachable Battle Hero medal, and with about 30min left on the timer I decided to go for my second attempt at getting Battle Hero. Well I hit hard with weapons, supplies and everything I could muster. I managed to take the Battle Hero position but the fight was no where near finished.

Now I should note that as soon as I started hitting, the great people that stayed through my fight on IRC, begun to say, "Is Flatty going for that Battle Hero?" This was a sensational feeling as I was the center of topic for IRC, I felt truly special.

So there I was just holding my spot, when I noticed a friendly Romanian (?) coming through the stats. He was hitting massive amounts and his strength outweighed mine in absurd amounts. I quickly reacted by striking using the remainder of my food fights donated by Sam Cougar and other anonymous sponsors, I also had weapons donated at the expense of many.

I increased my lead, but this Romanian was not going to stop. My finish was in sight and I felt that bitter disappointment rise back inside me again. But it was not over, IRC erupted into conversation and Sam Cougar who heard about this was not going to let it happen. He donated such amazing amounts of gold to me to fight onwards and claim that battle hero! I burned through that, my hands erupting into a whirl on the mouse, striking, healing, striking...

I burned through the gold, and the Romanian was not stopping. He took the lead and this is when truly, the eAustralian Spirit of care came through everyone. Sam Cougar, Wozzup, Callumh123 all donated their gold to me to keep hitting. But that was not all, everyone on IRC was giving strong words of encouragement, screaming, pleading, offering it was a whirl of thrill, excitement and fear!

In the closing last 20 seconds, I ranked up and this increased my influence by a large amount and I begun hitting again, the Romanian was hitting too, and in the closing second i was still hitting, desperate.

When the battle ended, IRC was quiet. Skype was quiet. Everyone waited. Some thought that I missed it, just. Others quiet not wanting to cause a stir. We waited for the results!

It came, I won. I got my first battle hero with the dedication going to everyone that was there for me.
