A court system?
Grant johnson
I would really like a government backed judicial syatem, we could have 2 courts a "trial court" and a group of "judges" who's only job is to approve or disallow contracts based on the legality of it.
The "trial court" would be modeled after the us supreme court with one little exception, you serve a term of one month, if a case begins before the end of your term and hasnt been closed by the end of your term you are allowed to act as a judge for JUST that case untill it is closed.
The "contract court" would be a group of 10+ "judges" who must approve all submitted contracts before those contracts become valid.
and in the name of fairness and equality once a judge has put his "stamp" on a contract it is to be put in a private forum useable only by the serving "judges" for 24 hours where it can be vetoed by a "judge" if it is vetoed the contract is given another 24 hour period where it must be stamped by another judge or it is considerd a "Blank" making it useless
"trial court" "judges" are put into office 2 ways.
The first way is the way that 5/7 are put in and that is the vice president puts them up for vote and kongress votes them in or they dont.
The other way is the way that 2/7 will get appointed, they will be directly put in by the serving potus.
in my next article I will put in the details of the contract laws I propose and also a way to "force" citizens to comply in the most non-oppresive and free way possible.
please feel free to comment in any suggestions you have 😃

We already have a court on the eUS forums, and it is used mostly for roleplay.
No.
I'd actually like to see a real (game) court, but mechanically at the moment the entire system is voluntary, and so it hasn't any real power. I could see a way it could, but not as is. But I like the basic premise.
I'll be in the minority.
It might be a decent idea. At the very least, it could provide a method for expelling a citizens citizenship through the courts, which is something the game itself is lacking, since we can accept citizenship requests but can't expel them.
i was told that only my "contract court" would work V.V
but nothing else V.V
I don't think a government-backed court system is a good idea because it's too much of a time waster considering we can't enforce anything in-game.
And any official Admin support for contracts went away months ago. So again, with the enforceability issue.
AStra, i was thinking that refusal to comply with the contract terms suspends your ability to participate in government programs indefinetly.......
😁^ This has been debated off and on for a long time, using eforum punishments, etc. But really, a system of player-Admins with some power to shift funds, in the least, is the only way this could work. It's just more than I expect the mods to ever give us. And, if you think it through, is more than I expect they ever will, because of the abuse potential, in exp the GF rage quit 🙁
Wherec was GF article?
But candor, what I'm trying to do is devise and revise a way to implement this.
I'm sold on my contracts system the other one... not so much
