A Contrast Between Candidates
Guy Kilmore
Antonio and I have presented our platforms and ideas. I have taken the time to discuss my philosophy and structure towards government. I have also presented a tax plan and I explained why I felt that this would be healthy for our country. Antonio and I are both active players. We are both people who take time to speak with the populace at large, we are both individuals who have a well established history. I urge people to just think beyond party and friendships, but to truly look at what we represent and what we plan on doing. Activity for activity’s sake does not benefit anyone.
Antonio posted his platform in this article:

I posted my thoughts on what I would do with the role of the presidency:

I posted my proposed Tax Plan and my views on how it would affect our industry:

I have also explained how I would structure the Thailand Government and the responsibilities of these positions: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/thailand-government-who-and-what-it-is--716853/1
Antonio and I have different responses to the issues facing Thailand. I am looking at presenting a market for our companies and citizenry to have the freedom to manipulate the markets and keep revenue in their hands. Antonio, while I laud his efforts, is looking at strengthen the baht, re-introducing government companies, and providing government loans. I am leery of doing this for a number of reasons. He will have to increase taxes to fund these adventures as the Thailand Treasury is not robust enough to do so at these current tax levels, basically he will have to increase Taxes. This pulls money from our active citizenry and puts it in the hands of the few; it also increases the costs of goods.
I am of a different mind, let the creativity of our recruited citizens structure our markets, do not put the bulk of our monies into the hands of the few to gamble. By keeping these funds distributive amongst the populace we can keep our markets fluid and encourage activity. This is why it is important to not just look at the character of the person or the alliances of our parties.
I wish Antonio good luck, I know that he has Thailand in his heart as I do. Lastly, I urge the citizens of Thailand to vote and make their voice heard.

And it won't let me change images. Curses!
Horrible Cropping and you asking for the highest office of the land.
Your support is endearing. Don't make me raise your rent!
Yes, Erepublik comes through and this whole dialogue will make sense to no one. Awesome.
and I see your Schwartz is as big as mine. Now lets see how you handle it.
Oh yeah,
I like the idea of strengthening free market. An idea I'd seen, I forget exactly who so I don't want to miscredit, mentioned fixing our goods market to reflect the average market rate by comparison in gold. This would be a stabilizing way to handle it. We should average the top 3 countries market rates converted to gold and fix ours according to that amount of baht to gold.
Vote for Kilmore!!
Dammit Gentyle, you beat me to the Schwartz comment.
Guy Kilmore has a plan.
Antonio Salgado plans to have a plan.
The choice is clear.
good luck Guy. I am proud to run against you as i was produ to run against someone as KK. I hope thailand president elvels keep going up( not in game level ,but mind)
Gentyle, that may have been me. I was approaching it more that rather than try to bring the gold market down to 60-70 THB, it might be easier to adjust wages and prices up, so things are the same price as other countries.

You fail to mention that his choice for Labor Secretary wants to explicitly and directly subsidize companies (which is rather significant given Antonio's professed desire to have a highly decentralized administration), and also that it's not just a matter of the depths of the treasury requiring tax hikes, but the desire to strengthen the Baht, as we'll otherwise be seeing the gov't taking Baht that has been out of circulation and pumping it into the economy, with predictable inflationary effects.
He gives good helmet!!!
@Ealb: I also would like to build up the gold reserves of the Thailand Government. If we have low taxes, like I am proposing, I too might cause some small inflation, which is why I did not bring it up. Attempts to strengthen the baht will bring about more inflation, than my more meager and constrained actions.
With some of my desire to facilitate importing, I might also be forced to subsidize companies in some fashion. Again, I will most likely be on a smaller more restrained scale than Antonio and his Labor Secretary, but I still might be forced into doing it.
At the end of the day I think Antonio and I have a key philosophy positions that mark a stark contrast in our positions. He wants a government to shepherd the people, to lead them to water; I want a government that simply wants to make sure water is around and let people figure out how and if they are going to take a drink.
