A Bulgarian Controversy

Yesterday the current Bulgarian President, Cryptos announced his opinions on the coming ending of FYROM's admin protection.

In this article, Cryptos in a non-Presidential address stated Bulgaria's benefits and interest's in invading FYROM as well as some of the negatives and scenarios. Overall he see's a Bulgarian invasion of FYROM as a method of bringing in a nationalistic Bulgarian baby boom, acquiring more resources and strengthening Bulgaria all together. He acknowledges the fact that Bulgaria cannot counter other neighbouring territories other than FYROM due to their in game strength and alliances and so see's it as an opportunity for military fun.

The comments appeared to be overall supportive over Crypto's article. However, there was some dismissal over it by some Bulgarians as well as some Titostani/Skopian interventionists criticizing the article for obvious reasons.

I was intrigued by the opinions of the President and the reactions to it. It appears to be a controversial issue in eBulgaria leaning against FYROM.



It even appears that eBulgaria may veto FYROMs entrance into Phoenix when viewing this quote by the President of Bulgaria:"I wrote it in the comments, but will put it here for more diligently.

Prospect of FYROMs veto into Phoenix

However the Presidential elections are coming up and the current opinions and intentions of the Bulgarian candidates are unknown to most erepublik citizens.

Cooperation with eBulgaria, a possibility?

I think this controversy in Bulgaria is something we can exploit. The Bulgarians want FYROMs high stone as well as an opportunity to gain a nationalistic baby boom, we want the total destruction of FYROM for them trying to indoctrinate one of our names.

I think we should try and cooperate with Bulgaria and sign an non aggressive pact with them. After which we are to declare war with FYROM, we will wipe them out in 18 hours easily as though there was no resistance. Bulgaria could attack the high stone region first, eliminate any of FYROMs Phoenix MPPs after which we assault the capital and the western region simultaneously, destroying the Country fast and easily.

What's exactly in it for us?

FYROM will be eliminated, Bulgaria will be at long term peace with us and will occupy the eastern region which borders Serbia (which will act as a buffer against the threat of Serbia to Greece), thus eliminating the Phoenix threats from the north, allowing us to focus our military projects on the Turks and on quelling a few Skopian rebels...

It could be the start of a friendship or it could just be an uneasy agreement serving the interests of both Bulgaria and Greece.

I personally think it would be in our interests to allow eBulgaria to have the high stone region of FYROM and to cooperate with eBulgaria to ensure they remain non-hostile towards us..
