A Belated Update from the MoC

Day 1,026, 17:39 Published in Ireland Ireland by The Irish Community

Hello there eIreland. I'm John Gormley and I'm the new Co-Minister along with einberliner (AKA Donut). It looks like I will be doing most of the work, but she has agreed to help out as much as she can.

I'm shocked to see that it's been 30 days since this newspaper's last article and frankly that's terrible.
I felt compelled to put that right today.

To start with, I must address the situation with the The eIrish Community Awards.

Sadly, the last awards were not handed out on time and in fact they are alarmingly late to be dealt with. This is the first thing I will deal with and hopefully I'll have it sorted out soon.

The Irish Lottery
It is my pleasure to also resurrect the lottery. It has long been a great community event for eIreland and I'm glad to bring it back.

This month I'm hoping to have this happen every Monday so that it finishes up the day before the CP elections. However, I feel next Monday is too soon for the first one so I'm scheduling the first one for next Wednesday, September 15. It will occur every Monday thereafter.

All you have to do is donate the ticket price to this org and send a PM asking for a number between 1 and 50. You may buy a maximum of 3 tickets in total. I will decide on the winning number using the tried and trusted method of random.org.

The ticket price is 10 IEP. However, I will make a slight change - if you are Level 15 or under a ticket will cost a mere 5 IEP.

So, buy your ticket now!!!

New Feature
Here is a new part of the MoC I'd like to introduce especially for new citizens. I'm going to call it Introduce Yourself. If you are new to the game, I'd like to invite you to write a short article telling us all about yourself. Then give me a PM and I will publish it in this newspaper for all to see. Best one wins a prize!!

To older citizens: if you know of any new people who may be interested in this please send them on to me. Thanks.

That's all for now! But I hope to do another update as soon as possible.
