A battle in a losing war

Day 1,671, 04:43 Published in Philippines Serbia by DragoonXRyu

Today was a particularly busy day.

I logged in and found that ePH is without its territories. 🙁

So, I fought for the RW currently in Palawan. What started out as my routine "finish today's battle orders" turned out to be a struggle to win a battle in a losing war.

I jumped in with PH-Ind influence score at 0-400 at around 30mins into the battle. Nobody was fighting for PH.

I decided to "cash out" my bazooka parts. I let out some 6 shots. Whew! First few influence points for PH trickle in. I let it stay at 50 to 52%. Every once in a while, someone would challenge by wielding their own bazooka. I would reply just as many so we stay at the majority.

An hour passes by.

I was almost certain that we would win this battle. I was proven wrong in 3 minutes.

As soon as he started shooting, I let out my own. He would shoot in reply.

I ran out of rounds and that's it. I just sat here and waited for the counter to tick up to 1800. I just felt like I had to see this through the end.

In the end, I lost that battle.

The war has always been a losing war but I felt like trying to win this one battle was worth it. Kind of stupid, really. I could've saved my ammo for the other rounds but, hey, I wouldn't be writing this post if I had, right?

At the end of the day, I got promoted thrice, received my 2nd True Patriot medal and my 1st Battle Hero medal. I've also got my first employee.

A particularly busy day, indeed.
