9/11: WE WILL NEVER FORGET

Day 1,391, 05:59 Published in North Korea Croatia by TurtleShroom

Today is the tenth anniversary of a time that truly changed America.

It was just a few minutes ago, according to the television, that the First Twin Tower was hit. The next would follow about three hours later, some time past 11:30 AM.

This marks a tragic time in our nation's history, but also one of resolve.
Even though we distracted ourselves with the Iraq War, we also sent a surge onto the real forces of evil and made great strives to vanquish our foes.

Today, ten years later, Al-Qaeda is still a threat, but, thanks to missile strikes taking out core extremists, and the death of Osama bin Laden on May 2nd, 2011, we have crippled them beyond measure, to the point that they are almost no longer a threat.
(Of course, there are new terrorists cropping up, hoping to take advantage of the Arab Spring, and their names are the Muslim Brotherhood. -but that's a tale for another day, and hopefully, one that will never be told.)

As you go about your day, so some pride and respect for America. If you have a flag, fly it. If you have a flag pin, don it... -and if you see a soldier, thank them.

Here's to America; may she remain free in the face of all horror and attacls, and may we vanquish the terrorists under our feet.

In remembrance,
