New servers and solutions

Dear citizens,
Yesterday the team went through a difficult process of server changes and database optimization. This process was highly needed as it will solve many issues regarding the scalability and back-end activity of eRepublik. Also, the loading time was improved due to the actions taken yesterday.
There were several unforeseen issues that occurred during the process of making yesterday’s major improvements. We realize that these unexpected issues caused a lot of rightful frustration – for this we deeply apologize and will make every effort to ensure something like this does not occur in the future. Fine-tuning and server optimization is our team’s highest priority at the moment and the actions taken yesterday will fix the bugs experienced by citizens going forward – we will work to make sure that this process happens more smoothly though. Your future feedback is much appreciated as we are able to detect where these problems appear more easily.
One of the important updates included restarting the battles that ended unexpectedly almost 12 hours ago:
- Battle for Southern Great Plain between Romania and Hungary will restart at 11:22 AM* and the battle will last for another 12 hours and 8 minutes.
- Battle for Azores between USA and Portugal will restart at 7:06 AM* and the battle will last for another 13 hours and 14 minutes.
- Battle for Madeira between Spain and Portugal will restart at 11:08 AM* and the battle will last for another 3 hours and 26 minutes.
*eRepublik time. All battles will restart on the 429th day of the New World.
The battles will restart with exactly the same number of defense points in each region as before the battles were ended. Also the battles will end at the same hour as were previously planned by country presidents when they decided to attack those specific regions. This will help presidents re-organize their plans in terms of how to secure or conquer the region.
Presidents of the countries involved in these conflicts were already provided these updates and we are counting on each one of you to shout this news all over the New World.

Is the eRe staff finally going to give us press report on the situation with gold cheaters (that are still not all caught), yesterday's work and train bugs that were abused ad nauseam (and still not fixed), and most importantly, the blatant disregard of freedom of speech that has taken place in the last couple of days?

I think it's not a good move. Countries should decide when they want to attack, it shouldn't be decided by the admins.
Just give back te gold for starting the battles and it will be good.

So basically, you bought some new servers and the site is now faster.
- nothing about banning the cheaters and ways to repair the harm done in terms of battles won with fake gold, ranks gained, XP, and so on;
- nothing about the disasters you caused while disabling/enabling modules, with companies not being able to pay their employees, people not being able to fight, and so on;
- nothing about the bugs from yesterday, that allowed a lot of people to get free XP, train as much as they wanted, work as much as they wanted;
- nothing about bugged Trivia, with screens not loading or not working at all;
We supposed to just ignore the cheating that took place and was not punished in any way except maybe 5 bans at most, and move on playing the game and giving you money.
To add to all this, instead of having the game running like $hit for 2 days, being half the time down and half the time unplayable, wouldn't have been easier to take it down for 2 days, fix all the above problems, upgrade the servers and move on ?
Admins, I'd like to see a complete summary of what has happened in the past few days(including other issues than just ''The Gold''), what you have done to fix things and what more will you do to fix this situation you've gotten yourself into. ErwinS pointed out few very important things. I'd like to see some answers thank you.

That's all nice, but what plans do you have regarding the economy? It's going to collapse now that the decoder cannot be used anymore. There is a serious deflation going on, salaries are being lowered by a lot, and no wars (since they will be extremely harmful) is going to have a serious effect on multiple industries.

This transactions were for a bug in the monetary market that admins fixed near two months ago (finals of November). All of this GOLD was deleted less than one day after.
I still wonder why did you add that extra 3 hours to the battle over Madeira 😐

No need for further explanation - we understand it. Just as you sai😛 you made 15 000 GOLD with a monetary bug, but it was deleted the next day by the admins.
