Editorial Note: I hope you all enjoyed the previous issue on taxes. Things slowed a bit in Congress since then (with the exception of a certain citizenship approval, which has been noted in plenty of other newspapers) which explains the gap between today’s issue and the previous one. I hope everyone has enjoyed these articles and I appreciate all the feedback, subscriptions, and votes. I don’t expect huge issues from here till the next Congress since we’ve completed much of our work, but I’ll keep articles going to highlight in-game Proposals and CBO requests.

I. Budget Reaches Final Stages, Moves to Vote!

For weeks, Congress had debated two things: taxes and the budget. Both are of course interrelated; we can only spend what we take in. The goal of this Congress was to maximize our spending, which happens to be 699,993 USD per week (we rounded up to 700,000 USD for ease). With the recent adjustments in the tax code, we have been able to keep a steady stream of income that has allowed maximum spending.

Congressmen are encouraged to Vote on the budget now.

What can citizens expect from the budget? Well, earlier in the month Congress also cut funding for Arm America, which has opened up some funds for the United States Armed Forces, the Office of Militia Support, and Meals on Wheels. Congress also hopes to rebuild some Reserves, as the last invasion was especially taxing on our funds. Unfortunately, the budget is currently classified, but as soon as its passes and is displayed in the Congressional Budget Office, I’ll be happy to post it here.

II. Today’s Proposals

1. Donate 99,999 USD to the Congressional Budget Office. Proposed by Returnswolf.

III. Congressional Budget Office Requests

VI. Running For Congress? Get Endorsed by Heero Blaze!

You may be sitting here in a few days!

I will be examining the candidates running for Congress and making a list of endorsements for candidates I believe are ready for Congressional duties. To help me survey the field of candidates, I’ve provided a short form to fill out in the link above. Filling out the form does not guarantee an endorsement, but does improve your chances. I will also provide a small graphic to put your campaign articles to show all your potential voters that I think you will serve the nation well. I hope to announce these endorsements on the 24th. (Note: The endorsements provided do not reflect the will of Congress and they will solely express my opinion.)

Thank you for your time.
Heero Blaze,
Deputy Speaker of the House
Congressman of Michigan
