I. Speaker of the House LexLuthor1 to Resign!

LexLuthor1 leaves a smoldering Congress and takes random baby with him!

Speaker of the House LexLuthor1 announced today that he will be stepping down from office. He said, “I am stuck in RL and getting more stuck as we speak… and I simply can not give you the time you need.” Congress appreciated the honesty and began discussing the proper procedure for replacing the Speaker. According to the eUS Constitution:

“Should the Speaker resign, he/she shall appoint an Acting Speaker of the House from amongst his/her deputies. The Acting Speaker of the House shall have all powers and responsibilities enumerated to the Speaker, and shall serve until the next congressional election. A new Speaker will then be chosen by the method established in section 2.21.”

Some Congressmen have suggested skipping section 2.21 in favor of allow the runner-up of the last Speaker election, Leroy Combs takeover the position, saving time.

II. Actions Taken Against chickensguys for Impeachment Proposal

Congress experiment with fire.

Yesterday, Congressmen chickensguys submitted an Impeachment proposal and was quickly shot down by Congress. Swift action has already been taken against chickensguys as outlined by the eUS Constitution:

“3.3: Removal of the President of the eUnited States of America

3.31: Removal Procedure
Any Congressmen may start a forum discussion on impeachment. This proposal must then follow the procedures described in section 1.2 Proposals, Votes, and Laws. Upon receiving a majority vote, provided quorum has been met, an in-game impeachment may be proposed.

3.32: Penalties for improper procedure
Any Congressman proposing an in-game impeachment without having followed the procedure described in section 3.3 of the eUS Code shall have their forum privileges suspended pending disciplinary action to be determined by the Speaker of the House.”

While the Constitution has automatically removed privileges from chickensguys, Congress has sought to reaffirm the severity of the action with its own Proposal. Since the Proposal has reached ten approvals, it will soon move to a Vote. Any further actions are pending.
