4 Ideas to Jumpstart the American Baby Boom
Let’s face it: the United States has a recruiting problem in Erepublik. We recently slipped into 6th place in the population rankings, behind Russia! At this rate, the United States will soon fall off the front page of Erepublik. In this article I will outline 4 ideas that have the potential to not only stop this trend, but also reverse it. Some of these ideas might only bring in a few hundred people, but others, if executed correctly, have the potential to instantly catapult the United States to the top of the population rankings. So, without any further adieu, I’ll get started.
1. Go on other online games and tell people about Erepublik
I can attest that this strategy works from personal experience. Not too long ago, my brother was playing an online strategy game with about 10 other people. One of these people sent a message to everyone, telling them about Erepublik and asking them to join. My brother joined, and between him, the people he has recruited, and the people they have recruited, at least 4 currently active players have been added to Erepublik as a direct result of that message, and at least 10 people have tried Erepublik out. Not bad for something that probably took the sender 5 minutes to write. Now imagine if we got 10 or 20 or 50 people going on online games and telling people about Erepublik. That would mean hundreds, if not thousands of potential recruits. This strategy is especially easy if you just pre-write a comment or message and copy and paste it multiple times.
2. Advertise Erepublik on forums and in the comment sections of websites
This idea is pretty straightforwar
3. In Erepublik start a war with some of America’s real life enemies
This idea will probably sound very radical to a lot of people, who seem to be too caught up in the intricate workings of in-game diplomacy, but being at war with countries that Americans don’t like in real life is amazing for recruitment. Just imagine how much a map, in which Mexico controlled Texas, Arizona, or New Mexico, would help with recruiting. Obviously I have no say in this, but it seems to me that a little bit of short-term sacrifice is worth the huge long-term benefits.
4. Write letters to the media
This is perhaps the most ambitious idea on the list. The one major thing that we have going for us is the sheer enormity of the American media. The best way to gain media attention would be to do something newsworthy, while advertising Erepublik. So, if anyone wants to run out in the middle of a professional baseball game waving an Erepublik banner, be my guest, but I for one, don’t want to get tasered. The next best way to gain media attention is to write letters. I am working on a draft of a letter that could be sent out to media outlets across the country. The vast majority of people we send the letter to probably won’t think it is newsworthy, but if even if a few do, the effect it created would be gargantuan. Heck, larger outlets might even pick up the story.
If we take these measures and more, there is no reason, with America’s high population and widespread Internet access, that we can’t become the most powerful country in Erepublik.

😛just go on forums and the comment sections of websites and tell people about Erepublik. It is really simple and requires little time. I am absolutely positive that there are oodles of people on political (and gaming) forums itching for a way to express their patriotism. A game that allows them to express this patriotism and improve their character in minutes a day (better to attract them first and then get them involved) is sure to find a large audience

We've already tried 1, 2, and 4. Those really depend on luck and the chances that people will pay attention. 3's been deliberated, but our RL enemies are scattered all across the globe (unlike in baby-boom infested Europe where enemies are conveniently next to each other).

On what scale have you guys done 1, 2, and 4? I feel like 4 especially would have to be done on a large scale to be effective.
Number 2 is a bad Idea peoples hate advertising in there Not-important-compared-to-ours Forums.
If anyone plays civilization or games like it try to advertise in those.
Also try nation states
Yeah, number 2 will make you look like a jerk, but I highly doubt that anyone who was planning on joining would decide not to because of it. Besides, someone is bound to get curious and see what Erepublik is all about.
