26-04-10 Set Your Alarm To Fail O' Clock.

As I arose this morning with the all too rare blinding rays of the summer sun bursting through the gaps in my curtains - I suddenly remembered. Today is the day. Today is the big day! There was no doubt in my mind that today was going to be a day of national surprise, excitement and new beginnings.

I eagerly strolled down to my local newsagents to purchase a copy of today's paper. There it was! Gloriously mounted slap bang in the middle of the front page. I hastily began reading the article, the excitement was unbearable, it was like Christmas all over again!

I had to wait until 4pm! I hadalready waited a week, been teased for a week by their relentless media campaign, what would a few more hours hurt?

I decided unless I wanted the next few hours to pass by slower than Britney Spears window shopping at the chemist, I decided to head back home and play the new Bloons Tower Defence 4. Damn that game is addictive..

I was awoken from my zombie like trance at the computer to the sound of chanting... Could it be? I looked at my clock and sure enough it was 4pm! The excitement rushed through me like a fat kid when the ice cream van pulls up. I rushed outside to a see a crowd of people making their way quickly to the city centre - I knew exactly why they were headed that way and decided to follow them.

I arrived at London City Centre to see a mass of people hustling around a podium. On the podium was a man dressed as what I can only describe as a complete and utter arse hole.

The next few moments were to be the most expectation shattering moments of the month. The wealth of disappointment amongst myself and the people around me was enough to make you almost log off of eRepublik.

The announcement of a new political party!? Are you serious!? All that hype for a damn political party!? You have got to be kidding me - I thought to myself! One things for damn sure, this party may regret getting so many peoples hopes up like that!

So in conclusion, thank you "SPECTRUM" for wasting our time and turning out to be a massive disappointment.

The best bit is the anticipation that they did a good job in gaining completely shoot them in the foot after they failed to deliver the proverbial goods 😃
