[PN] Interview with... Huey George

Day 2,768, 12:01 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Pannonian Nomad

Hi everyone.

For my next interview I have chosen my employer, Huey George. (I'm sucking up for a higher salary 😛 🙂 )

1. Tell us a few words about your real life self.

- I live in Yorkshire, I have a wife and soon to be 2 year old son who I'm absolutely dedicated too. I have quite a technical and high pressure career so I use eRepublik as a bit of a escape although at times it hasn't been the best place to escape too.

2. About eRepublik Huey George.

- Very similar to my real life self. I value openness, honesty and integrity. I seek resolution and co-operation over conflict. I would like to think every decision I have made would be similar to the one I would make in real life, although the decisions here tend to more one dimensional.

I have always wanted as many citizens as possible to have a say in how our country is run with those in positions of power helping facilitate and act upon this “will” of the people. This mentality also works well in political parties and military units and was a founding principle of both the Workers' Rights Party and the Free British Irregulars. I also like to start with a position of trust with every citizen I meet, whilst this has been to my severe dis-advantage at times, it has served me well for the most part.

3. How do you see your future in eRepublik? (What are your ambitions?)

- Commanding the Free British Irregulars and giving as much as I can for the lads so we can give our all for the UK and her allies. I may get more involved once again with the Workers' Rights Party however there are plenty of active citizens doing fine work so these are not immediate ambitions. Beyond that I will be keeping a very low political profile on a national level until a change in the current political or economic modules.

4. eUK's future? (Any suggestions to the current and future governments?)

- I am fairly positive about the eUK's future as although our community is small there are plenty of citizens working hard to make our country as strong and integrated as it can be. Although I'd like to see more articles and not just from the current Government or future Governments however also from Congress. Our media module and those who contribute to it is one of our strengths and would should be able to use it to drive intelligent public dialogue with all citizenry views listen to and respected.

5. eRepublik's future? (What would you change?)

It does seems like it will be one of stagnation and decline with a dedicated core of players holding on for sentimental reasons or blind optimism that something will improve the experience. If I was an Admin I'd start to tinker with both the economic and political modules using ideas from the player base. I think many players would not expect the Admins to get things perfect straight away however would be appreciate the effort.

6. Who is your favourite person in eRepublik and why?

- Paulus G, without a doubt the wisest and most generous citizens I have encountered. The amount of support he has offered the UK, the Free British Irregulars, the Workers' Right Party and me personally is overwhelming. I'm honoured to be counted among his friends and hold the highest respect for him. I also have to briefly mention Marvin Hagler and Alan Warwickshire, when he was still about. Paulus, Marv and Alan have kept those in the Free British Irregulars supplied with as much tanks as possible.

7. Any person you dislike and why?

- There are a handful of citizens I would avoid as I feel when placed in a position of trust by the UK citizenry have let them down in a very disdainful and dramatic manner. While each presented their reasons ultimately those reason in my mind were insufficient, duplicitous and egotistical. I do not need to list them as I am sure they would top most UK citizen's lists when posed a similar question. However it does hearten me that these citizens are greatly outnumbered by citizens I like for a whole host of positive reasons.

8. A few words about your military unit.

- When I founded the Free British Irregulars to give those in the Workers' Rights Party who wanted a military unit with a similar ethos and atmosphere I never imagined that we would become one largest, strongest, most consistent and most friendly military units in the UK. Only a handful of MU have delivered more damage for a longer period than the Irregulars. I am humbled by each and every citizen which has fought, provided leadership, supported and contributed to its community over the years to make it the unit it has become today.

9. A few words about your political history. (Why should people join your party?)

- Similar to the Irregulars, when I founded the Workers' Rights Party it was to give me and others who shared my views a voice in a at the time fairly closed, tightly controlled political arena. I never imagined that it would have grown to the size it has and sit in a position to benefit of all the citizens of the UK. This is thanks to the hard work of many citizens. As one of the leading parties in the UK it membership alongside others from outside the party have supported me in reaching pinnacle positions in Congress, the UK Government and has allowed me to twice form Governments. Each position I have held I have been honoured to serve the UK citizenry to the utmost of my ability and hopefully set a good example of how to carry out the roles and respond to challenging situations.

Citizens should join the Workers' Rights Party because it is at the start of a new chapter with lots of active citizens, a nice mixture of younger citizens with a few experienced heads forming new policies and further developing the parties ethos to better serve the citizenry of the UK.

10. Do you lift?

- Only my son.

11. Your message to the community.

- We all make the time to be here so let us all encourage respect in public dialogue to set a positive example that elevates the quality of politics in our country. We need to enable a more intelligent dialogue on public issues to attract all citizens to take part. This will rise us all above the partisanship which at times threaten to cripple our country.

Thank you Huey George for your answers o7
