[Update 4] Rocket Factory Analysis

Day 1,680, 07:53 Published in USA Germany by Mr. Enya

Dear Readers.
We have the new rocket factory. This is THE GREAT ECONOMY MODULE UPGRADE which was promised not long ago!

Read the details of the whole thing here:
Rocket factory in the wiki.

Now, you ask, what are the consequences of this?

First of all the economy consequences
Q1 and Q2 weapons are still very common, because they are produced by many newbies who didn't already dissolve their companies for the train gold but need to build them for the towncenter.
Q3, Q4 and Q5 weapons are rarely produced today, and the market will certainly be emptied in short time.

This is the main use of the rockets in the economy module: Urge the people to build new weapon factories of all kinds so that more weapons are available in the market (Q3-Q5 are as valuable as a Q6 a short time ago). However, there are also consequences to those who export weapons to their home country for the bot to buy. Their profits are suddenly much smaller than before, if you consider the import taxes. This is a call to the congresses all over the world to lower the import taxes.

Second of all, the military consequences

Just calculating for myself, an average fighter with only 5000 strength:
The damage you can do with Q1 rocket is 50'000
I can do 598.010 damage with 10 of each weapon (201'360 with 10 Q6 alone!!)

The damage you can do with Q2 rocket is 250'000
I can do 1'495'025 damage with 25 of each weapon.

The damage you can do with Q3 rocket is 500'000
I can do 2'990'050 damage with 50 of each weapon.

The damage you can do with Q4 rocket is 1.000.000
I can do 5.980.100 damage with 100 of each weapon.
(numbers are courtesy of this great tool)

What is this weapon actually good for? Those who are stronger than me (and who actually can afford the rockets) get less damage out of them than they could make for themselves. A god of war (I calculated with the german CP ilphen who is a rather young GoW) could make 8 Million damage with 100 Q6 tanks alone!
Update: Okay, now let's consider the costs of energy bars that you save (see the comments below) One energy bar is either one day of DO or 5 Gold. To use 100 Q6 weapons, you need 600 fights, which is 60 food fights and 540 energy bar fights. You would use up 54 candies!
If you use one rocket, you use up no candy. What is the amount of gold saved?
- For one 1M damage, a GoW might need to fight 75 times (13.5 Q6 tanks) which is 7.5 energy bars. WOW! The GoW just saved 37.5 gold for each million damage he deals with a rocket. This calculation assumes that he had no food fights left when dropping the rocket.
- I myself, poor average division 3 fighter, would need 25 Q6 weapons, 60 food fights and considerably 9 candies for the aquivalent of a 500k rocket. BUT!... I'm not BH fighting every day, and not buying the candies. Those who buy gold and candies en masse (and only those) are profiting here.

RESULTS... who will seriously be using these weapons???
The sneaks and the medal thieves:
In division 3: Have a rocket available (produced yesterday), drop it on the battlefield, produce the second one (today) and get 1.000.000 damage in mere seconds, at the end of the battle. Instant BH!
The big tanks and gold buyers (div4) that are weaker than the GoWs:
They save energy bars when they use rockets, energy bars that they would otherwise buy for 5 gold each. As I calculated in the section above, this has only use for those that are considerably weaker than Gods of War. If you can achieve 1 Million damage with only a few candy bars + food fights, you are already too strong for this factory. And once you reach a status high enough, the factory is pretty much useless.
Non-gold buyers
You get energy bars by collecting them from the DO each day? You go for BH once per month? You are not yet in Division 3 or 4? FORGET THIS.

Thanks for reading, Mr. Enya

UPDATE Number 2!
When I wrote this article, not all consequences were already visible. At this very moment, you already missed most of the dollars you could make by buying, hoarding and reselling tanks all over the world. Buy them cheap, sell them expensive. This tool can help you if you are still interested in the short-trading business.
Before I wrote the article, I only stocked up on WRM at the low price of 0.07 - glad now, because the price is now at 0.15. I'm not participating in the whole business, but I am a proud owner of a Q4 weapon factory and employ several people there since some time.

The amazing voting results for the article are also something noticeable. Because I didn't bought any votes. Okay, I was spamming every channel and article out there, but all your votes are unpaid, and this re-established my faith into the voting system. Thank you guys!

And then, here is the financial outlook:
The Gold price today was sinking again and fell temporarily to 2200 CCC. Such a drastic change in gold prices was last seen, when the Division military module appeared. Proof:

If you like this diagram, you might want to read up on the ninth issue of gold price observation.

Update 3
Yesterday I found many articles around the world - most were just copies of the eRep Wiki, but there were many fine exceptions with original ideas. Some of them I want to present in the following press review. I don't claim completeness.
- More thoughts about the economic impact! (Ireland, Sweet Drinker)
- The first of the cost calculators, I'm sure that by now, there will be others. (Poland, Stileth)
- Practical implications of weapon smelter (Ireland, Bean&Teddy, Troll article)
- He-who-predicted-the-rocket-factory-four-years-ago (Former Yoguslawian Republic of Macedonia, smeeagain)
- Protection from rockets incoming (Greece, ozzyr21)
- Fiscal relief through rockets? (UK, Duke of Norfolk)
- Profitability for Rockets in BH-Hunting calculated (USA, Hanibal LA)
- Profitability in general (France, Azaret)
- room for more articles which I might find+like (pm me with suggestions)

Okay, so here we are with the promised update on prices. As people pointed out in the comments, the markets are still in turmoil, but I want to at least present the current stage - we are already in a unsteady stabilization phase here.
Former Bot Price, Germany, afaik: 3.84 | 7.67 | 11.50 | 15.34 | 19.18 | 23
Bot Price Yesterday, 9 am-erep-time: 26.4 | 27.17 | 41.52 | 44.64 | 28.13 | 27.23
Bot Price Today, 1 am-erep-time: 15.30 | 19.99 | 36.38 | 44.64 | 31.20 | 25.45
(bot price here: the suggested price tag in my storage, I assume it counts only for Germany)
Market Price Yesterday, 9-am-erep-time: 20 | 20 | 34.8 | 52 | 31 | 32
Market Price Today, 1 am-erep-time: 16.50 | 17.45 | 33 | 48.34 | 29.67 | 31.93
(market price here: US markets, this is including VAT)
This tool should be always up-to-date, globally.

Thanks for following the news, friends!
Mr. Enya

Last Update! (Number 4)
The WRM price has fallen again towards the old price. It doubled to 0.14 when the factory was introduced, but is now at 0.09.

The Weapon prices have also stabilized downwards again:
Market Price (US): 8.40 | 12.50 | 30 | 38.70 | 25 | 29

So, enjoy the new eWorld, now with rockets.
Best, and see you soon (when you read the next articles)
Mr. Enya

P.S: According to reliable sources, Q4 Training is coming with the next update. Save your gold today, buy Q4 training tomorrow. (edited at 4:50, day 1682)

P.P.S: This article was translated to chinese by YomiYuri. 谢谢你!
I also got the following message from a younger eRep citizen who wanted to stay anonymous:
Your analysis might be skewed slightly based on your higher level. I am lv. 24 play everyday and train everyday I have a Q2 training ground (was one of my first gold buys, so my strength might be higher then avg for my level) I have a strength of 713.00. That is about 1/7th what yours average player number of 5000. I suspect then I will do about 1/7th of your damage figure, meaning for players my level we would do 28,765 damage with those weps. My level puts me in Div one and means I can only unlock a level 1 rocket factory. If I have the money to buy all the weps needed it will get 21,000 more damage by building a rocket and for only 10 wellness. In about a week I will hit about 800 str and be div 2 meaning a much larger margin of damage increase for the Q2 rocket. The benefit is there for newer and lower level characters.
Feel free to make your own mind, I don't think my article is the ultimate wisdom. Everyone should think himself whether he needs rockets or not.
- Wow, I also got media coverage from the Romanian Media Ministry.
