Join the new world

The past few days have been very hectic for my cabinet and the congress, not to mention myself.
They have also been filled with suspense and a lot of really helpful people.


The midnight sun never sets.


A PTO-free election

For the first time in like forever we finally have, not only a PTO-free Congress, but the whole election was without a single PTOer. Thus allowing us tp keep the election fluid. We only informed you of those that could be willing to join congress and list those that ran only as blockers.


The journey

Using blockers in elections is nothing new, most parties in the new world use this tactic, but blocking the whole election is extremely rare.
Many of us have dreamed about this for a long time and today our dream finally became a reality.

After our last congress election where we got over 90% of congress, our situation started to look brighter. We had long been staring the PTOers by not holding elections, but this also put a strain on us and was something we did not want to continue forever.
Another important factor was that Serbia also got a congress again and was able to give out Serbian citizenship.
This caused many of them to return to Serbia and their numbers dwindled.



In the Party President elections we did very good, getting 5 of the top 6 parties.
Blocking the election was within reach now. We calculated that with the active players plus ATO support we would be able to to achieve 50 candidates.
One big challenge remained though, and that was moving enough people from NLP into the smaller parties to secure the top 5 - as only the top five parties can participate in the election.

This was the status a few hours after the process starte😛


It took a lot of effort to achieve our goal. I personally sent over 200 messages ingame, but it was not a tedious process, in fact it was great to see so many people eager to help out to secure our nation's freedom.

The days before the election were full of nail-biting moments, as we started moving players, the PTOers did the same. At one point their party where up to 27 members, and we assumed they could be able to get up to 30 or maybe even more.
We had to get all top 5 parties, but they only had to get one.

After a few last minute efforts we reached 50 blockers and 32 or more members in each of our parties. Our election was secure.

I have no desire to tell people what to do, but if we are to be able to hold congress election next month also, you will have - if you are in TeK, A.E.E.A., FF or BoP - to stay in your party.

In the short time since the election as many as 8 PTOers have left just today, and more will follow. Even some of the most hardcore are leaving.
One has also been temporarily banned for creating multies. I will not speculate as to why he was not permanently banned.



We have also learned a lot from this election, increasing the odds of results in our favor next time. Next month I wish to hold a real election allowing candidates to campaign and show why they should be in congress.

The election to follow will be of great importance, we must still stay on our toes and place our votes carefully in the PP and CP elections.
We will have to run with only 1 candidates in each party for PP election for the time being. As for the CP elections I hope we will eventually find a sulution to this, for example using erepublik.no.


V is for Victory



It has been 3 months since I declared war on the PTO group.
Today the ones that have a trace of honor left is leaving.
It seems they did not expect such organization from our side.

I hereby declare Victory! We have won, at least in spirit. All that remains now is taking out the trash.


Gratitude

I would like to thank those that took part in organizing the election, those that ran for congress and as blockers, all those that changed parties and -parhaps most of all - as they had no personal gain our friends that supported us with ATO help.

To commemorate your efforts Stakerauo has created a special decoration for this event. Our friends that came in as ATO will also get the equivalent of 1G in CC.
Please note that this is not payment, none of them expected to get anything in return and even used their own money for travel to and from Norway.

In the past few days you have reminded me once again what it is I'm working for every day. It’s you guys. After I have welcomed the new congress and awarded the decorations I will take a (,at least in my mind) well deserved vacation with two days of just two-clicking.
Each member of my government has their areas of responsibility and Che Kukaken has been given full authority to act on my behalf.
