2-Clicker 2-Minute Morning Coffee Summary - 7 August

Day 626, 04:48 Published in USA USA by Zheng He

Yesterday I wondered why we didn't fight in Texas. The general battle orders (to us low-life fighters) sent us to Texas, but it looks like our big guns went to Ontario to try save Canada. Well, the strategy of giving away Texas to try to save Ontario didn't work. Whether it was good to try or a mistaken decision I'll leave to more experienced N-clickers.

Since yesterday morning Indonesia took Louisiana, Russia took Iowa, and we held Maryland against Portugal. As of this coffee time, Portugal is attacking Mississippi and Russia is attacking Michigan. With less than an hour to go it looks like we might hold Michigan.

Our new president, Emerick, has posted his inaugural address. It's a fairly long read, but shows a well oiled strategic mind ... whether that's enough to get us out of this mess with a country intact ... ?

I'm just a dumbass coffee drinking Sergeant (promotion yesterday!), so what do I know?

I've read several complaints about the "attack-retreat-re-attack" strategy. Indo attacks a state, we throw lots of resources into defending it, then Indo retreats, all of our fighting is wasted and they come right back the next day. The game rules allow this, but really, why does a "wall" that we build disappear immediately? In my opinion, a better game mechanic would be that a wall in a region persists for a couple of days, so if we build a wall today, and they attack tomorrow, at least part of the wall is still there.

I doubt if the game admins (eGods?) will change the rule in the middle of a war, but it does bear thinking about for the future.

My coffee is finished, time for RL work 🙂
