Join the new world

Hello,

Nothing fancy here. No pics or gifs or anything of the sort. This is (hopefully) just a quick note before I dash off and hide in RL for the weekend.

Many have noticed over the past few weeks that I have been a bit punchier than usual. Frankly, I've been a dick to a lot of folks. I'd chalk some of that up to my general snarky demeanor and the fact that this is the internet. However, much of it has just been conscious decisions on my part to be an ass for little good reason.

I'm a small fish in a big pond, so most will rightfully dismiss me as a non-player. That being said, I would like to apologize to any that feel I have mistreated or besmirched them in the past few months. I've got my own shit going on that I decided to channel into a game by being snarky, rude, condescending and not a very good team player, and then I seemed shocked when not everyone loved me regardless.

As for my party. If you take a look at what I wrote in my last article, it is clear that I take issue with some things. To reiterate a point I made there though, I am very much aware of the role I played in that. I've been lucky to be in party leadership for three months in various roles. While there are some things that I think I did very well, there are others that I royally screwed up on and failed at spectacularly. That piece was just as much a think-aloud critique of myself as it was of other members. Only an idiot would criticize a party they've helped lead for a few months and somehow not thing they were culpable. Though some of you may beg to differ, an idiot I am not.

Since returning in April, one thing I have done a poor job of is matching my words to my actions. This is something I am setting out to correct, so that I can actually be of use to my country and my party.
